Not experienced any coil whine myself thankfully, the fan isn't the quietest at higher RPM though.
Testing OC with Kombustor, VRAM reached 106C and GPU 86C :O bit unrealistic though, so far in games the GPU hovers around 80 and clock sticks around 2100

Handles +200 stable on the core (2100) and +500 (11000) memory so far, I'll push it more once I get a waterblock sorted.
EDIT: Not sure why the image embed is not working, am I being dumb?
I also have a new 3080 Ti, they can pull 400W+ if the power limit is increased.
As everyone else says, its very likely its a power delivery issue, either insufficient PSU or fluctuations / droop caused by the load affecting other components. Unplug everything non-essential.
Ensure the GPU is...
Just left my PC idle and went for dinner, memory is pretty hot considering its not doing anything. This is with OC core +175 and power limit maxed. Although I've reset it to defaults now in Afterburner and it doesn't make any difference.
Yeah thats what i thought, my 2080ti with water cooling was 30 something most of the time. Pretty sure its these cards though, maybe it doesnt like my multi monitor setup or something. Nothing is using GPU.
I have a new 3080 TI FE, definitely going watercooling again the stock fan is just too noisy for me even at about 60%. To be fair it idles at 60C too, although it is 25C in this room.
If you're a gamer, sell the 3090. They're basically identical and you can get 3K for the 3090.
By the time games use more memory, the 3090 will be a weak card anyway.
Yep mine was just like you, around the same time in stock appeared. Mine has also progressed to payment authorised!
At MSRP too, who woulda thunk it! Time to sell my 2080 Ti for a profit...
Actually got an FE @ 14:35, had it in my basket for 10 mins while banks did fraud checks.
MSRP though, so assuming this payment goes through I must have been one of the lucky ones!
This was after they said on twitter that they were out of stock so I hope someone cancelled or cancelled a basket heh
Lol I bought a 3090 for £1700 and felt guilty about the expense so returned it.... I could have made £800-1500 if I'd kept it and sold it on now. That's insane!
Not sure why anyone (gamer) would bother trying to buy a 3080/3090 now that the 3080 Ti is imminent anyway
I was also one of the people that ordered a 6800XT and got it cancelled and refunded... I'd love to get into a priority queue for AIB orders but i guess that's an impossibility. Sigh. Back to the F5 brigade i go
