Im not ignoring @tamzzy advice. Just the custom build spec'd was knocking on £800.
I know it only comes with 8gb Ram, but that will be enough for now with option to upgrade later when new funds become available.
Main use will be standard home/office use with the odd bit of gaming.
As for SSD...
@tamzzy sorry, but the build you have spec'd is just shy of £800, so £100 more than the citizen gaming build. So I would expect better parts.
I've ordered the Citizen gaming build for the better gpu. Comes with 3 year warranty, so sure OC would sort out any issues if they occur on the psu...
With accommodation, depends what you like but I stayed in mainly hostels or traditional bnb places.
Felt more "Japanese" than a standard hotel.
One guest house even gave traditional robes for guests to wear. Unfortunately they did ask for them back at the end as they were proper ones and not...
As mentioned, remove gpu and large cpu cooler if air cooled. I've always transported mine in car with me though.
Will be emigrating to Oz in next 18months so will be keen to see how package company packages the pc for the shipping container.
Luckily I've still got all original boxes so gpu can...
I'm in a similar position. Look at the citizen gaming build offer. Taking Windows off, can get it for just over £700.
Can also swap parts out that's not on options by calling them after order has been placed.
So more of a long term build to get for good price and buy parts over time.
Ill start keeping my eyes peeled for 2nd hand gpu blocks. Unfortunately I doubt many 1080ti 2nd hand block will be about.
I'm still stuck in deciding if I should invest in dedicated sound or continue with on-board sound.
Using logitech 5.1 surround system.
As mentioned, guess a lot of the sound quality comes down to the individual preseption of the sounds.
Looking to fit an m.2 ssd into my system.
Wondering if there is any noticeable differences between the Intel drives and the Samsung ones?
Samsung 970 are more expensive than the Intel drives. Happy to pay more if quality is better, but also happy to save some £ if possible
Anyone have first...
Out of interest, what is the average cost to build a "basic" water loop to include gpu and cpu cooling?
I've gone on ek's site and used their configuration tool and ends up with just over £700!
Is it possible for a half decent loop sub £500?
I like DIY build but just thought with this the gpu is a lot better with same cpu and ram as in DIY build.
So only real difference would be psu. Could look to ask for an upgrade on psu.
DIY build comes in at about 680
So for £25 more get upgrade from 570 to 590 gpu. Looking at benchmark...
With the other builds so close in price, what are peoples opinions of the Citizen Gaming build on offer at the moment.

Has a better GPU and can swap the HDD out for...
I went to Japan a few years back with work and took 1 week off while there to travel. Amazing how much you can see in 1 week.
Took a Shinkansen down to Hiroshima and did a different city every day working my way back up to Yokohama.
For Tokyo, I would say you need at least 2 - 3 days. But will...
Some interesting feedback and as @TangoEchoAlpha mentions, it seems there is a lot of negative comments around EK online.
Need to put some time aside to go through each component piece by piece and build a kit.
