So This has been in interesting weekend, my password seems to have been hacked from an old webhost, thanks 000webhost. This has led to someone trying to gain access to every site which uses this password, it was a complex password which I have used on probably hundreds of sites. So...

Power on 4 monitors at the same time

Are you turning the monitors off? there really isn't any need to as they use such minuscule amount of power in standby. at most a few pence per year per monitor. any modern monitor will use less than a watt at standby Placing them on a extension block with remote power switch will not damage...

    Water filter

I have one of these which I fitted to the mains supply in to the house, so that all taps are filtered, it works out much cheaper than a single tap filter, and you can drink filtered water from all taps. The carbon block filter has been in for 12 months and is now due for replacement, I am...

    Issue with Nissan warranty.. Help

Have they actually done anything to confirm it is the rear window? as it could the the switch, cable or relay or fuse which is the problem. A switch or relay would be prone to wear and tear, but after about a million actuations, which would probably by 10 - 15 years for an average car. We have...

    Storage to fast for gaming?

No such thing as too fast storage. I have run games from RAM and had no problems. Sounds like you are complaining of the motion blur or a vsync issue with your gfx card or monitor.

    GTAV performance thread.

I found I had to reduce the clock speed of the memory on my 290x from 1400 to the default of 1250 to play this game, for some reason it pushes the memory much harder than any other game. just upping it to 1251 would result in glitches!

TN or IPS for gaming? Help me please!

I have a pair of the eizo foris 240hz monitors, they are a good compromise. Great colours and viewing angles, and good for gaming. neither have uniformity or clouding issues. The gaming response is not as good as my 120hz TN panel, but you do not see ghosting in any games, I only see...

    Crucial MX100 Over-Provisioning?

Stop worrying about SSD life! I have had several SSD's running for years and havent not had a failure. The oldest one is an OCZ Vertex v1 SSD running for the past 5 years 24/7 and see no errors on it yet, and this has run a combination of Windows and VMware, and these were supposed to be...

    2133MHz ddr4 vs 2400MHz ddr4

For video and photo editing then more memory is better, same goes for running Virtual machines. I would say that if this is your primary use of the pc then the 32gb will provide some benefit. For gaming I would choose the 16gb 2400 memory, as there is no requirement for more for at least 5...

    2133MHz ddr4 vs 2400MHz ddr4

I wasted a day tweaking my memory from 2400 to 2666, on each speed i tried to get the lowest timings possible. I tested several game benchmarks, asus realbench etc. the average increase in games was less than 1fps. It just wasnt worth running with the hight core voltage just to get the bclk at...
