It's a cracking phone, only thing that still lets it down is the lag on human subjects, it has improved a little with the update. I find myself still preferring my Pixel 8 pro for photos of kids etc and moving subjects, that isn't without it's own challenges though

I used family link with my kids pixel phones , works incredibly well but won't support IOS. Their iPads are really old so we will probably swap them out with Android devices (Samsung galaxy tabs)

I don't own one but was looking at 14 ultra, my only concern was the OS which the comments here appear to have confirmed, especially the Nova Launcher part. I hope.it manages to get resolved for you , I won't be jumping on the bandwagon

Anyone looking at the Xiaomi 14 ultra , appears to be quite a good pre order with free camera grip /attachment with extra 1500ohm battery . Free Tablet, looks like a decent phone also and the OS appears to have matured with HyperOS

Just took some photos of my kids also and same as, really poor and you can only hope it gets fixed soon. Taking photos of static objects like buildings outside can produce some great results but normal stuff i.e. kids, photos are not good

Just decided to bump the resolution up to the full resolution, really makes a difference to the screen and quality IMO, I usually run at the default FHD+ but decided to move it up to QHD+. Let's see how bad it impacts the battery life
