Hard to disagree. I wont be switching. Despite Virgin recently becoming available in my area - I think with their new XGS-PON tech (although I'm not sure if that is actually available in practice yet.) Lila have been rock solid for me, but I'm selfish and I want my price to stay the same...
Price increase incoming.
All on a 24 month contract. I'm currently paying £29.99 p/m with a static IP. So the cheapest way for me to keep the same service would to be renew at £39.99 for 24 month. 25% increase after 12 months isn't great.
My friend has just had a call from Lila to say that they are moving all customers away from static IPs (the select few that have them) and everybody will be on dynamic IPs, but with Open NAT.
I remember
FWIW I've seen Virgin TBB graphs to that with the SuperHub, but then be completely resolved when using the SuperHub in modem mode with your own decent router. Could always spend £40ish on a router from [somewhere online] to see if it helps and if not return it within the 14 day...
Generally they wont let you, but if you go through to retentions and threaten to cancel ( or even actually put in cancellation notice and let them call you back a week later) you can sometimes get them to give you a new customer deal. Other option is if you have somebody in the house with a...
I think if it's particularly bad they offer a compelete termination for free, but if you want to continue using it their contribution to the bill is pretty minimal (atleast when I was in a similar situation a few years ago) - if I remember correctly they offered me free termination or £10 off my...
Just last night me and my brother were both talking about how we wish there was a modern boxing game - looking forward to following this! UFC 4 scratches an itch on the PS5, but it's a bit arcade-y in the boxing side of things
Think it varies, I was able to order two weeks after they finished laying the street, but I have a friend who's street was finished laying in September and he still cant order to fulfilment yet.
I provided the ping graphs and speed tests at peak times and posted them to Virgin Media's official forums - one of their forum staff then passed it to second line IT who created a ticket - very long process though.. good luck!
If it's down to an oversubscribed node, you're probably better off leaving the contract penalty free and going elsewhere until they upgrade the node that serves your area - speaking from experience it can take up to 18 months
No brainer I think - I'm not entirely sure what Lila/VX Fiber focus on blocking, but I believe in general it's only the Big six UK providers that are actively governed to block certain things: BT, EE, Plusnet, Sky, TalkTalk, Virgin
I've just had Lila installed - everything positive so far. Install was a very professional, the two chaps that turned up very knowledgable and freindly - shoe protectors worn when inside the house. In regards to the service, I do think it's important that EVERYBODY knows that if you're a gamer...
