    The AMD Driver Thread

Oh good... sorta... Hopefully those settings just aren't working as they should, in which case disabling the overlay might be the correct way to get rid of the red line I'm suffering, and we might get some fixes in the next update.

    The AMD Driver Thread

You can definitely disable Toast messages, which should cover the pop-up when you start a game. That is under Settings > General

    The AMD Driver Thread

How do I get rid of the pesky little red bar in the top left when I play games? Apparently it is something to do with a Relive overlay, and used to be fairly easy to disable but can see an obvious way to disable the overlay in the new settings...

***** BLACK FRIDAY NOW LIVE!! *****

Hey, Recent years you've had some really nice CPU/Mobo/Memory bundles, sometimes with a SSD thrown in for good measure. Anything of that ilk this year (now or on Friday)? Thanks!

    Rift s whos getting one?

I have a Rift and I have an Odyssey+. The step-up is pretty big, and the Reverb is said to be even better. I still have my Rift in a box just in case, but I'd be loathe to have to use it and the Rift S isn't exactly calling my name either. I don't want to **** on the Rift or anything. It was a...

    Rift s whos getting one?

It just sucks that there are good Oculus-exclusive games released and coming soon, and no well-supported way to play them on a high-end headset.

    HP Reverb

WMR is actually really easy to get working now with pretty much everything bar Oculus games (Revive/Remixed may or may not be in a good state for this headset, I have no idea). I was interested in the Rift S, but it is a pretty big letdown. Now I have my eyes on the Vive Cosmos and Valve...

    Rift s whos getting one?

I've not seen the video yet so I'll check it out, but I will say that it was always pretty easy to throw the Oculus 3 camera setup too. From experience with WMR inside-out tracking, aiming down a scope is the biggest doubt that I'd like to see confirmed. I think the additional cameras will do a...

    Rift s whos getting one?

I wouldn't assume the tracking is worse. I had a 3 sensor Rift setup, and I have an Odyssey+. I would honestly think 5 camera inside-out tracking is superior to a 3 sensor Rift setup. Having said that, the screens and lack of any other advancements are so so disappointing. The fact that Oculus...

    Rift s whos getting one?

I have the Odyssey+ at the moment. If Rift S is broadly comparible then I'll probably get one just so I can play Storm Lands/Defector/That Asgard game reliably. If it is actually better than the O+ then it can replace it completely. If it is worse than the O+ then I'll wallow in disappointment...

    *** VR Deals Thread ***

Humble Bundle has a VR sale on. It is worth a look, there are some pretty good deals in there.

HDR from VEGA 64 to TV 32 feet away

I'm trying to hit 20m myself (for neat cable routing) using various combinations of active/passive extenders and cables, but the best I could get was a picture that cut out every few seconds. Getting it working would save me the expense of a second PC, so I'll be curious how you fair on this!

    Are VR Headsets still pixelated?

That is a pretty big compromise vs real life. Not being able to look to your left or right is a bigger compromise though imo. I use an Odyssey+. The resolution still has a lot of room for improvement regarding mid to long distance detail, but I wouldn't describe it as particularly pixelated.

Before I buy a WMR headset.....

I'm not certain but I think that puts you pretty close to ideal. I'll be very interested to hear your feedback anyway, as it is all ammunition in making solid recommendations to my friends :) Edit: Wow, I just looked up the price. It is actually a little baffling that these are not flying off...

Before I buy a WMR headset.....

There isn't much between them afaik, and I don't think you'll be disappointed either way :)

Before I buy a WMR headset.....

Yes, best to get a USB extension lead as well so that you can run the blue tooth a bit closer to your play space as it helps the controller tracking a lot. Correct on the HDMI too. And some 3.5mm headphones. Unless you can import an Odyssey(+) the WMR headsets are all pretty similar. I hear...

    Beat saber

However you list the tracks, Gangnam Style should be at the top. Try it if you haven't already :)

On the fence over a Rift...

I have a Rift and an Odyssey+. The Odyssey+ blows the Rift out of the water purely by virtue of the screens, and the tracking isn't far off (you need at least a 3 sensor setup to beat it). However, Revive/Remixed isn't working well at all for me so... Oculus exclusive software is a trump card...

    Oculus Rift

I tried the ear buds, but went back to the standard. They're good if you want to block out background noise, but I prefer the comfort and ease of sharing you get with the standard ones. I'm far from an audiophile though. Both sound good to me.

Any tips on getting used to motion sickness?

Lol there is a single toggle setting in that game that makes a profound difference to sickness for me. The first time I played it I literally drove about 20 yards and stopped. Did a little research, flipped this camera setting, and the next time I played I liked it so much that I bought a...
