What retro things have you done today?

With a 2800+ 333mhz fsb it should just run at 400 with the multiplier locked though it may be difficult to get more out of it than that so basically running it as a 3200+ could try small bumps up in voltage to see if that helps, could try in 1mhz increments 201/202 fsb

What retro game would you like to see modernised?

Wing Commander, More-so the latter games in the series, 3/4/Prophecy etc, yeah there's Star Citizen but it's not really the same thing, I want a grand cinematic single player campaign with actual acted FMV sequences.

What retro things have you done today?

Ye olde 20GB IPod classic i bought on ebay back in may arrived today, along with the CF to SD card adapter, so New Battery, old HDD out and new SD card in, IPod is rocking once more. old battery held a little charge but is a bit bulgy, and the old tiny Toshiba 20GB HDD actually still works, so...

What retro things have you done today?

Playing with these: Just arrived today, well the Audigy Live Drive and the top Audigy 2 ZS (bought it for the live drive but always nice to have another, really like these sound cards) All working and sound great, thankfully neither have the noise issue(capacitor related some of them suffer...

What retro things have you done today?

Blame the solder, :D were you using the lead-free stuff? It's terrible, some extra flux can help clean up the solder joints and fill up the holes nicely also some nice lead solder 60/40 stuff does the job. have you tested it out yet sound good?

What retro things have you done today?

Totally, I don't have the space for a SC55 setup sadly so one or two of these does the trick nicely, and it's great being able to swap round externally or for cards with no wavetable header, waiting on a board arriving which has a YMF71* onboard, but not wavetable header, should make a nice...

What retro things have you done today?

What chipset is on the motherboard? some of the socket 7 chipsets are a little picky with graphics cards and PCI/AGP bridge / bus drivers and the graphics drivers under windows.(latest 98se drivers from nvidia are also terrible and buggy)

    Gameport support?

So I got a few Arduinos / teensy boards in to experiment, on the back of work from others I've got my sidewinder GamePad working via USB through a Sparkfun Pro Micro(arduino leonardo compatible), little bit of code that uses serial input from the Sidewinder and coverts it into keyboard inputs to...

What retro things have you done today?

As nice as a V5500 would be they're just too damn pricey and flaky these days, and what they can do can be matched via nglide or other period cards, V3 imo is still king or a V4. I like to keep V2 SLI around for cool factor though, and the V5 100% has that along with the Rage Fury Maxx.

Using Windows 98 with large Hard Disks?

Windows 98SE may also have issues with the ram size, I'd cut it down to 512MB if you can until you get it installed and patched up, may be ok with 1GB . Just a little note ontop of what Armageus said. Try a Gparted live CD / usb to format full size
