Well after a number of frustrating races I finally got my head straight and gained my first win, which also promoted me to D licence :D Decided to progress onto the Ferrari GT3 Challenge series next. I can see this becoming a very expensive hobby!

TV size - 10ft viewing distance

Thanks Purgatory but decided to go to 65" for now which I think will be fine for day to day viewing and may look into adding a projector further down the line If I feel it's needed. The picture was taken at night with the lights on so in normal use they would be dimmed right down or off.

    Sim Racing setup - Help

Update - I decided to jump straight in and went with the Fanatec V2.5, V3 pedals and Porsche 918 rim. I know I didn't need to start with this level of kit but really happy with it all so far and it's working surprisingly well with the desk.

I am tempted with the C8 however the guys over on avforums and a number of reviews seem to suggest they are pretty much identical in terms of picture quality and not worth the additional cost of £460.

I've narrowed it down to either the LG 65 B8 or C8.

Thanks, that is pretty much how I've been trying to take it but I either end up carrying to much speed and getting loose or going too slow. I'm looking forward to a different track to be honest! Those tutorials are great thank you.

New rookie here so thought I'd say Hi :D This is my first foray into sim racing after years of console gaming with a pad. Finding it great so far although tough to be consistent and not make silly mistakes. On my forth race at Summit Point Jefferson in the MX5 and really struggling with the...

LG 34GK950F vs Acer Predator X34P

I was originally set on getting the 34GK950F however the lack of stock, price rises and reading about some of issues people are having on a £1150 monitor is slightly worrying. I notice the X34P is currently available from a retailer for £679.78 and wondered how these two would compare. Is the...

TV size - 10ft viewing distance

Where as other people I've shown the picture to think I'm crazy going as big as 65" :D lol. Trouble is the LGC8 77" in £5.5k which is crazy so I'll go 65" and see how I get on . Can always look into adding a projector for movies further down the line.

I'm sure I read somewhere they are cat5 but will double check. Any particular Power Line adapters you would recommend? I've been looking at TP LINK.

TV size - 10ft viewing distance

Ha that did cross my mind however the room opens out to a conservatory so there would be too much light during the day. Then it means having a pull down screen hidden in the ceiling and it gets rather costly. Definitely an option for the future though :D

    First PC build help

It's a new build house and there are telephone sockets in each room so I guess that's an option. I'm only on Sky fiber so It wouldn't need to handle anything over 50mb/s to be honest.

TV size - 10ft viewing distance

Hi guys, looking for some suggestions on what size TV to get with a viewing distance of 10ft. I was originally thinking 55 however I think I'd always be wishing I had gone bigger :D The sofa is just over 10ft away from the wall and this is a mock up of the LG 65C8 which is one of the TV's i'm...

    First PC build help

Thanks, I don't have any ethernet sockets in the house unfortunately. I was also considering those powerline adapters but heard mixed reviews. The only other option would be mesh wifi but that's much more expensive.

I also wrongly assumed the motherboard would have wifi built in. Any recommendations as to which wifi card to get?
