I received my Zotac 3070 Twin Edge yesterday, tested doing folding at home. The card boosts nicely to 1950mhz core with temp and power limit max. This card seems to be limited by the cooling and power I feel. I managed to get it up to 2040mhz core without any voltage adjustment.

Pretty happy with my zotact 3070 Edge. At stock volt it's boosting to 1935mhz which seems decent. Cooling is definitely holding it back though.

I agree, however you still to this day have to take AMDs announcements with a pinch of salt. They never just show their GPU vs nvidia, its always best case scenario, using this AMD feeature, or picking these specific AMD favoured games. I am rooting for AMD btw.

Im in the sam boat, £500 max budget. I would say 3070 seems a good choice here if you can get one for 500 (since the 6800 slides seem to indicate it will be on par with 3070), however doesnt the 8GB vram worry you?

dam I didnt realise AMD did annoucements a month before available to buy. I really hope they have a 3070 type gpu (6700XT?) for sub £400 otherwise ill be tempted to try pick up a 3070 i think.
