About an hour and a quarter I think... I generally try to stick to 60-90s rest between sets, 2 mins at a max, and no rest between drop sets obviously. Oh, and pull-ups were done between squats. I prefer doing lots of sets over high reps. :)

Developers: What education/qualifications do you have and has it helped you in your career?

I have a bunch of not great GCSEs (B-D) and no qualifications after that. I don't think a CS degree gives you anything that passion (and geekiness I guess) in combination with the internet wouldn't be able to provide these days. I'm well versed in OO and functional programming, data structures...

I'm still lifting, just been ill and too busy with work to get decent workouts in. Today's wasn't terrible though, despite starting to feeling sick a few sets in: Barbell Squat - 65 kg x 10 reps - 85 kg x 10 reps - 110 kg x 5 reps - 110 kg x 5 reps...

Thanks, I'll give that a try. The part about stretching that is. :p

Nah, that's what my comment about wrist flexibility was about - I use a clean grip, but even with just two fingers on the bar it really hurts unless I work on it during the week. I stopped at 45kg because it felt like I was about to snap a finger off ;). I do have a hard time with front squats...

Was lazy on Friday/Saturday and did nothing, so had to roll OHP and squat day into one. Front Barbell Squat: - 25 kg x 5 reps - 45 kg x 5 reps Been a while since I did these, need to work on hand/wrist/finger flexibility again. Barbell Squat: - 65 kg x 10 reps - 85 kg x 5 reps - 105 kg x 5...

code challenges - language of your choice

I'm pretty sure my version could be improved too. I'm in a slightly strange position with Haskell in that I know a lot about how it works (I'm working on my own programming language that has practically turned into a subset of Haskell at this point, but implemented in Scala) but have hardly...

Hey, thanks. :) It's not so much that I have concerns about my back, more a comment on the state of my injury. My back wasn't actually the problem, but I was getting pain in the sacral region, it was actually originally caused by hamstring inflexibility and arching too much when pulling...

    Had about 20 minutes for deadlift day today, so just did this: Barbell Deadlift: - 65 kg x 5 reps - 75 kg x 5 reps - 85 kg x 5 reps - 95 kg x 5 reps - 105 kg x 5 reps - 115 kg x 5 reps - 125 kg x 5 reps - 135 kg x 5 reps Weight: 75kg Back is behaving itself.

Hi. I've been lifting for a while but always seem to fall out of doing things regularly after a while, so end up setting my progress back quite a bit. This year was going great until I injured myself, so that put things on hold for a while. Getting back up to speed now, figure if I start...

A bit late to this party, but I've been away from the forums for some time, so only just seen it. Here's a quick Haskell version: import Data.Time.Calendar import Data.List data Range = Range Day Day deriving (Eq, Ord, Show) expandRange :: Range -> Range -> Range expandRange (Range from1...

What's with all the Deck love? I never understood why they keep remaking the poor/gimmicky maps with each version of UT and dropping the better ones :p I think this is the best UT yet though. :) Weapon balance is much better than it was in 2004, and there are almost no entirely useless...

    Music Libarys

I can't believe all the votes for iTunes! It's horrible with large libraries. Foobar for me without a doubt. Can use ASIO drivers, has much better tagging/file management tools (most of this through plugins admittedly), and is more responsive and uses less resources (iTunes uses 80mb of RAM on...

Sound Card and music production/creation software advice needed

I'd be pretty impressed if you can run Cubase and do anything useful with an audio buffer of 256 samples or less using a Soundblaster. edit: Sorry, didn't actually answer the question. Yes, a decent soundcard will let you do this kind of stuff at a lower latency. I use an M-Audio Firewire 410...

How to save web graphics in photoshop?

Sic pretty much nails it. I'd just clarify the jpg vs png/gif point though: gif/png for images with large areas of flat colour jpg for intricately detailed, many coloured images (photos are indeed the most obvious case, but there are others times I'd use jpg too)
