Not exactly correct, you can still use it. If you run gsync with vsync off close to max refresh for some reason you can still get tearing at the bottom of the screen. If you turn on vsync it stops this but it shouldn't add the input lag like it does without gsync (As long as your fps is below...
I updated my Nvidia drivers from 451.55 to latest 457.09 and I updated my Odyssey G9 monitor firmware from 1005.4 to 1006.2. Now if I select both Adaptec sync on and 240Hz the monitor it just turns off. I can run 120 Hz with adaptive sync or 240 Hz with adaptive sync option off. This is on an...
I'm curious has anyone that purchased their G9 though a reseller (Not direct from Samsung) tried to arrange an exchange though Samsung with cross shipping?
Haha that's fine I ordered some black now. Currently updating firmware from 1004.0 to 1005.4 because I have strange issue where screen stays on with no signal message when I shut off the computer. I don't think it done this on day 1 funny enough but I did have to manually power cycle it to make...
Thank you for sharing this. I think I will give this a try. Is it possible to notice that you placed the glue there if in a bright room and you look closely or is it totally invisible?
Got my G9 today. (Not from OCUK). What a screen this is, its absolutely stunning. Luckily I don't seem to have any dead or stuck pixels but I do have the bezel separation in same position that others are reporting about 19 cm from top left for about 3 cm. I've played GTA and Modern Warfare so...
Do you find a big difference between the MBR and non MBR modes in terms of pixel response and smoothness? Normally for backlight strobing you need refreshrate = framerate to get the smoothest result.
Sounds like Linus uncovered some issues he couldn't really dive into. Mainly the flickering on desktop with HDR at 240 Hz when adaptive sync is on and the fact that HDR didn't work right in game at 240 Hz.
Also I wonder why it is not possible adjust response time (overdrive) with adaptive sync...
I've been trying to decide between 38GN950 or smaller 34GN850. I can get the 34" one for €435 less which is a nice saving. I guess for productivity the higher resolution will be better but I also do a bit of gaming including Call of duty Modern warfare and am a little concerned if the 38" would...
They did not touch on BLB or IPS glow at all.
They had only positive things to say in this regard. The only real negatives that I recall being brought up in the review were the lack of even basic HDR certification due to the low peak brightness and lack of local dimming but we already knew this...
Yes the review was very positive.
I imagine most people want to hear about the 1 MS quoted response time. Unfortunately LTT didn't specify figures for pixel response but they did compare pixel response using blur busters guide with a camera on a slider. All monitors at 120 Hz they compared to...
Also looking to watercool the 1080. Planning to pickup a card with a reference PCB and a block from EK. As much as I would like to wait for a custom PCB and waterblock to suit in the hope that it has better power delivery and can overclock more I really dont want to wait well over a month for...
