Possibly but I'm not sure how I would diagnose that. My main concern is that if the fan needs to come on during operation, whatever is causing the problem of it not spinning correctly may end up inadvertantly causing a bigger problem due to the heat.
I've recently built a new PC around this motherboard and I noticed the other day that if the PC goes to sleep, when it wakes up the onboard fan seems to be struggling, for whatever reason, and making a sound much like a HDD. There is no HDD installed.

I've got all the parts ready for my new PC and I just need to choose a case now.
I'm after something simple, so no RGB required, and have got the list down to either the be quiet! Pure Base 500 or the Corsair Carbide 275Q Silent.
One review I've seen of the Pure Base 500 says that is doesn't...
I've just been reading some old articles (Dec 2020) reporting the apparent EOL for the MBA cards (and subsequent possible reversal of this decision) but what I can't quite figure out is the difference between the Pulse, Nitro etc. versions of all these cards.
I'm fairly new to the game and...
This is such depressing news. I'm wanting to build a new PC from scratch (the first for 20 years), not just upgrade one, and there seems little point in buying the parts without the graphics card. The motherboard has onboard graphics, so I could technically use the PC but I'm not sure it's worth...
With the exception of data separation and the ease of an OS reinstall, are there any benefits from having a separate M.2 for the OS?
I'm in the process of building a new PC and have added the WD Blue 1TB NVME M.2 but I'm wondering if it is worth it to add the WD Green 3D NAND 120GB M.2 as a...
It has been really helpful to me after being out for so long.
I decided I wanted to go full AMD so I can take advantage of the Smart Memory Access between the CPU and GPU and also the FreeSync between the GPU and monitor (I'll probably go for the Iiyama GB2760QSU-B1, also out of stock!). As far...
I'm looking to build a new PC, after many years out of the game, and just wanted to check that the power requirements as listed for the GFX card - "Power connector: 2x 8-Pin" are the same as the "2 x EPS12V/ATX12V Cable (4+4)" sockets on the PSU? Thanks.
Thanks for the help everyone.
Final list (the Radeon RX6800 MBA 16GB GDDR6 will be added and I believe it will all fit in the case!):
My basket at Overclockers UK: 1 x Alpenfohn Brocken 3 CPU Cooler - 140mm= £42.95 1 x AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Eight Core 4.7GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail=...
I decided to stick with the MSI X570 but I'll investigate the other cooler.
Would there be much difference in noise level between the all-in-one water cooler and that Brocken?
Thanks for all the help. I've revised my basket (and also found out how to reference it directly!):
My basket at Overclockers UK:
1 x AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Eight Core 4.7GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail= £469.99
1 x Corsair RM Series RM750 750W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply...
The optical drive was just for watching DVDs really but I probably wouldn't even do that very often. USB sounds right in that case.
USB Wifi is also something I hadn't considered. Are there any go-to motherboard brands I should start with?
This is all good advice. Sounds like I'll have to come...
