When are you going fully electric?

Hi! :D I paid my £500 deposit, and once install is complete, I'll be getting about £150 back. 2 bed coach-house, so small place. Includes changing all but 2 lounge rads. So all in all nice upgrade for £350!

    Can this be pointed ?

Got a pic of the whole thing? If it's fairly rustic slabs rather than clean perfect porcelain, I think it'd be ok.

    Complex solar issue

Well the battery issue is a new thing, and that'll probably simply be a simple settings issue. As Welshman says, there's no costs unless you want to pay someone else to remove it all and install something else? Sounds like the installer was optimising the layout to get you the most panels...

So have you had MCS guys out to inspect it? In order to get the SEG?

    Complex solar issue

As long as those rails are still fixed and solid, there should be no vibration and damage to the verge from them? Must've been from installation, so fix it, whatever is wrong with it, and see if any damage occurs again, which is doubtful looking at the install. How is the flat roof panel array...

    Complex solar issue

Sounds like the flat roof is fine then if its been through 2 winters already, so can leave that alone? Bird guard mesh needs fitting around the pitched install to stop the pigeons? Damage to the verge, obviously needs repairing and then working out why it became damaged and do something to stop...

    Complex solar issue

Any pictures? How close to the flat roof edge? How is it fixed down? When was it installed, has it been through any winter storms yet?

Payraise.. how much do you expect? how much did you get?

Hoping for 20%+ for a single year deal, to catch up with what was lost over the last 2/3 years. Union still in negotiation with meetings this week, so hopefully will get a sensible deal to vote on soon, thankfully the union have been strong and sensible and outright rejected any stupid low ball...

    Solar panel production figures

26kW from my Sunsynk inverter today and prob half that again from my old Fronius inverter (too old for data connection to monitor exactly) added another 3.3kW of panels to the Sunsynk a few weeks ago and its making such a difference :cool: makes up for just 3.5kWh a few days ago. Loving this.

Ok, sounds like from scratch would be best. So, 1.unadopt and delete the USG3. 2.Turn off the controller on HAOS on the miniPC. 3.Connect up the UCG, and then 4. spend hours  typing in all the setting and static IP's for devices and AP settings etc? Any quick/best way of getting all...

So I managed to grab one of the Cloud Gateway Ultra's yesterday before they went out of stock again. This will be replacing an old USG3, and I was hosting the controller software on a mini PC running Home Assistant OS. So, whats the best way to swap out the USG3 and get the controller and my...

    Split Air con

Decorate first. But need to first fix the pipework before decorating. Then mount wall units when done. Same as if it's a radiator.

So, only place I can see meshing is in settings-system-advanced-wireless meshing, which was already off. Anywhere else? Or is it this:- No Unifi switches, mostly TP-Link I think, standard non-managed switches, and few with POE for cameras and 2 of the U6-LR's. All hard-wired too.

So here is my setup topology, consisting of a USG3, 2 new U6-LR (Dining Room and Bedroom), 1 AC-LR (Lounge), 1 AC-M outside (Decking), and 1 old UAP (TV Room). Seems weird that 3 of the AP's seems to be routing via the outdoor UAP-AC-M. Is this something to do with the way I've got things...

Hi, any chance you can link to the £100 U6-LR? Cant seem to find any on there? My dining room old UAP is running constantly at 80-90% PCU utilization with 16+ 2.4GHz clients, which will be helped by switching to a U6-LR i feel.

In my setup at home, I've got a USG3 with the unifi controller running on a Home assistant server. Some standard & POE switches are dotted around, and then for wifi, as we're in a barn conversion with an added extension, I've got 1 UAP-AC-LR, and then 3 old standard UAP's, in order to get...
