My cat is now indoor after starting life as an outdoor cat. Special circumstances though. She's a rescue cat from the RSPCA that has cat flu so she can't be allowed to socialise with healthy cats otherwise she can pass it on. Doesn't bother her though. In fact she doesn't even like looking out...
I really feel for you. Been in a similar relationship myself and it was a living hell.
Unfortunately the advice so far seems to be pretty spot on. Leaving would likely be the best thing in the long run.

I had a similar problem. I just dragged the task bar over to the second screen and use it as if it were the primary monitor. That way things opening up in fullscreen on the real primary monitor don't interfere with anything I'm already doing.
Of course if you want fullscreen apps on both...
