Have you re-newed the cmos battery? Though 8.3 I think usually implies psu? I know when I first got mine my psu wouldnt run it although it still runs the kids system fine, so there is something about psu's that it can be "picky" about

Hello Buff! you sorted this board out for me on the Abit forums when I first bought it! As my psu is brand new I am going to guess my problem is bios related. but I,m looking for a cheap case to make playing about with it easier, every time I take the kids comp apart I loose acess to mine!

Errm sorry to continue to be stupid, but now I've installed the 8800gts ATI tool tells me I can only use it to scan artifacts, and everything else seems disabled? Is there something I can do to alter this?

I believr core temp takes the temp directly from the die itself, rather than some exterior source, but with the difference you have quoted I would definately re-check the set up

Well obviously you're the expert (insert sarcastic smilie here!) however most people consider Thermochill radiators and DangerDen and Swiftech Apogee blocks amongst the best!

Its also interesting that you mention pumps, one I am looking at is branded Alpacool,(I believe its produced by a company called Timmer) and delivers 1500L/H @ 6m head which on the face of it seems better specs than the Laing pumps, but I can find absolutely no other information about it...

I believe Thermochill make thier own rads, which is undoubtedly why they are the best, and also, because they must be manufacturing in small (relatively) batches, why they are so expensive!
