I'd say for basic blowers and cheapo small pcb KFA, Zotac, Palit, Inno it's very likely to start from 325'ish. Neat - £200 difference from cheapest 1080.

Just noticed 1070 FE price - KFA² GeForce GTX1070 Founders Edition 8GB 499,- € @ one of the main German e-tailers - Computeruniverse.net. Uk and krauts have similar VAT rates - so it should be about £385 on shore.

Stock 1070@1886(max boost clock) vs Stock 980ti@1189(max boost) go neck a neck. Though typical 980ti should have at least 300mhz OC reserve from 1189, 1070 on the other hand more like - 150. Now is all about the Benjamins baby

Basically that was the case with all x70 skus - 970/770/670/570 (few quids here and there notwithstanding), with standout exception - 470 which was commanding 30-40 quid premium, but was on totally rubbish node, released almost one year late, haunted by bumpgate and swiftly replaced by 570.

Only thing matters how OC 1070@2000 (+/- 50) gonna fare compared to 980ti@1500 (+/- 50). Judging by Fire Strike results it flops magnificently. While 980ti on Ebay starting to go ever so low as £360, it is becoming unreasonable to waste more than £350 on decent 1070.

Those cheapo Zotac, KFA2, Inno3D, Palit should start from - 310£

I'd say looking from the 3 years perspective - 30 quid premium for the best 970 sku available (its like 80p a month) is nothing really. Plus exceptional Giga's warranty services. Considering that Jetstream is just a basic NV reference sku: compared to this engineering marvel: From kitguru...

These MSI sku's are sublime clockers, stable 1581Mhz at stock volts, only +110% pl. Gotta get another one. :) BTW is there any software to monitor vrm temps (haven't seen anyone talking about it on 900's series) or simply budget vr module's lack of i2c doesn't support this feature? Prolly you...

970@1499 easily beats stock 780ti so you should get the rest

I got two bathrooms in my house. Do I REALLY need 2 of those - NO, but surely I want them. Go for 970 sli :)
