Sites to help plan a road trip

Thanks for the reply. That's how I thought that I would navigate my way around and like you say downloading the journey when I have WiFi to save on mobile data . I was more after ideas on where to stop and what to see along the way

Sites to help plan a road trip

Hi all, My better half and I are mulling over the idea of a a European road trip with our kids this summer. We love the med, France, Spain but its starting to be too hot in the summer. We were thinking of taking the chunnel and then driving up through Germany and into Poland, perhaps taking in...

    Low power build

I was wondering what it would be possible to build as a low power machine to use as a home server? Am I better off trying to put a custom build together or buying an off the shelf solution?

Full Fibre Router Recommendation 2.5g vs 1g ports

If it does become a thing then someone may end up suing them like the current mobile phone case https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-67649539

Full Fibre Router Recommendation 2.5g vs 1g ports

Couldn't justify the expense with policy and resourcing! I'm hoping my N100/16GB will be enough to run my setup

Full Fibre Router Recommendation 2.5g vs 1g ports

That's possibly along the lines of what I was thinking, although I'm not sure whether to virtualize or not and possibly go with Proxmox. I also was thinking of virtualising a Pi hole and my Unifi controller on the box as well although I do have a separate Raspberry Pi to hand. I will have to do...

    New roouter

Hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread. I am in the same boat in that I am moving to fibre and want to take the opportunity to segment my network so that appliances with lower security, my wannabe hacker son and my machines are on separate vLANS. I have looked at the Chinese 4 port mini...

    QLC vs TLC

Thanks for the reply - I'm wondering what sort of lifespan I could expect as there are some with 5 year warranty which seems very good. My plan is to put it in a mini PC that will act as a home firewall

    QLC vs TLC

Looking for a budget NVME1TB or under. The QLC drives tend to be cheaper but often come with QLC as appose to TLC is there really that much real life difference in drives that use these technologies?

    Help with memory timings/overclock please

It's doing the above timings on 1.38 (this is the first voltage I tried) so I'll take a look at getting to 14. Again thanks @Joxeon

    Help with memory timings/overclock please

@Joxeon Thank you for the tip Sah completed full test of TestMem5 with Extreme1 @anta777 config So its stable. However CPU-Z reports the CAS# Latency (CL) as 16 despite being set to 15 in BIOS??!

    Help with memory timings/overclock please

@Joxeon thanks for the pointer I will give that a go. Interesting that it is disabled for 3600MHz and enabled for 3200MHz in the DRAM calculator results

    Help with memory timings/overclock please

So I used DRAM calculator to calculate 3200MHz safe settings and used the recommended values And success :-) It's booted and passes Testmem5 testing. I will try 3400/1700MHZ and update with how I get on
