    £1100-£1200 Gaming pc

I like this build, only thing I was considering is it worth going for the bundle with the 2700x and the 370x? I'm not sure what performance advantages between the two options. Thanks.

Yes the entirety of my budget is for the new PC. I'll get the Monitor later next year, when I have some spare cash.

    £1100-£1200 Gaming pc

I'm looking to build a new rig as mine is 5 years old. I only need the PC, I have all other things. I currently use 2 GL2250's but I'm considering upgrading my main monitor to a 144hz one in the future. I play a range of games: Total War: Warhammer, Overwatch, Destiny 2, Forza, CSGO, to name a...

    CPU started running hot

Today while playing overwatch, my fps dropped to 7-8 for about 15 seconds before going back to normal. Me being my paranoid self, I opened up CPUID and noticed my CPU was at 90c. I tried running prime95 while monitoring but I only did that for 2/3 minutes and stopped when it went up to 100c. The...

    New rig or upgrade?

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep the rig and upgrade the SSD and GPU. I'm currently running 2x 1080 monitors, would the 1070 support those with an additional 1440? In the spirit of upgrading I'm tempted to get a 1440 monitor to observe my new GPU's performance with =].

    New rig or upgrade?

I play games such as: Total war/Eve online/Overwatch/Arma/Battlefield. It doesn't get used for much else. What GPU would I be looking at for a noticeable difference?

    New rig or upgrade?

I'm not too updated with current hardware, last time I read up on anything was 2 years ago when I bought this rig. I'm not sure if I should sell my current rig and add extra cash to buy a new rig, or just upgrade. A couple of questions I have: no price checks outside of MM - your last thread...

    Blue Screens, CPU hot

A little update, I installed the new heat sink. I went without blue screens for about a week or 2. But today and yesterday I've had another 2, phoned overclockers today. They've agreed to take the PC back, so when I have the £25 fee for the packaging I'll be sending it back.

    Blue Screens, CPU hot

Well I've phoned OCers again, they have informed me that they'll be sending out a replacement heatsink which I should receive tomorrow. Not overly confident about fitting it but I'll check a few tutorials before I give it a try. All going well, this should be the end of the blue screen...

    Blue Screens, CPU hot

I opened up my rig this morning, from what I can see the heatsink looks secure, I tried applying a little pressure just to see if it was lose but it seems solid. I phoned OCers again this morning, they asked if I'd run prime95 for an hour to check temperatures. I started this just as I started...

    Blue Screens, CPU hot

If it's something I can fix at home I don't mind, at least I won't be without a rig. Well these are the temps the first is running prime95 for 10 minutes and the second is idle. I couldn't actually find the bios updates so I haven't been able to do that but I have had another blue...

    Blue Screens, CPU hot

How do I check my fan speeds? I've spoken to OC again today after another blue screen yesterday, I've been told to try installing updates for my bios. Failing that I'm not sure what else to try.

    Blue Screens, CPU hot

The heat sink model is; Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 High Performance Quiet CPU Cooler. I haven't checked the paste, to be honest I'm a little reluctant to mess with the hardware to much as I'm not too clued up on what I'm doing. To check the temperatures I've been running speccy...

    Blue Screens, CPU hot

So I bought a prebuilt custom rig from OC. The specs are: 4670K [Not overclocked] R9 290 Aftermarket CPU cooler [Artic Cooling] 1TB Seagate HDD 16GB memory Phantom case The order form said the max CPU temp under stress test was 70c but since having the rig I regularly run at 70-75 just...

New build from overclockers, worried CPU may be too hot.

I received my new rig a couple weeks back and I've been very impressed so far, but I have noticed that the CPU gets a little hot when I'm playing games [CSGO, Rome 2]. I have the i5 4670k at standard speeds with a Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 High Performance Quiet CPU Cooler to keep...
