    Mortgage Rate Rises

We were lucky. Moved house in June and just snuck in before the rate rises. Locked in for 10 years at 1.7%. Utterly madness the differencr we'd be paying if we were a week or so later.

GPU upgrade in a Corsair 250D

Would I be better off with an RX950 or a 1070? I'm looking at progressing to 1440p when I upgrade my TV. I don't play the latest games. Mainly Destiny 2 at the moment.

GPU upgrade in a Corsair 250D

If only I had access to the MM! Have been doing a bit of reading and looking at an R590 or perhaps a 1660?

GPU upgrade in a Corsair 250D

Thank you for that - that's helpful. The MSI 1070 8g Gaming comes in at 279mm so I may try and pick one of those up.

GPU upgrade in a Corsair 250D

Thanks for your reply. That would be far too big. I need to have a good measure when I get home but I think I only have 20mm max to play with before the card hits the front of the case.

GPU upgrade in a Corsair 250D

Hi all, I'm currently running a GTX970 in my Obsidian 250D. The card according to MSI's website is 277mm long. Does anyone have any experience or success fitting a 1070 into this case? Cheers David

    Destiny 2

Hi all, been away from the PC scene for a while (new house, baby on the way etc) and was enjoying the PS4 for a while until Destiny was released on the PC as free to play. Needless to say I jumped ship pretty quickly. That and I miss 60fps. Anyone on here play? A friend from work and myself...

Memory overclock. Do I have things right?

I haven't tested it yet... I was being pessimistic :D Various emulators and games seem to like 2400mhz.

Memory overclock. Do I have things right?

Yeah, until I do a MemTest and I get "computer says no". Could do with upgrading my system really. I fancy a new graphics card but can't justify the £500.

Memory overclock. Do I have things right?

Had a go at this last night. There seemed to be two XMP profiles on the memory. 2133mhz and 2400mhz. I turned on XMP and chose 2400. All seems to be working fine and CPUZ and the BIOS report the DRAM frequency as 1200mhz and 2400mhz respectively. I'll do a MemTest or something when I get time.

Memory overclock. Do I have things right?

Thank you for that. I clearly need to bump it up a little bit. Will take another look tonight. Cheers

Memory overclock. Do I have things right?

So I had a quick look last night (I decided my time was better spent playing some Zelda: BOTW) and in CPUZ the NB Frequency under the memory tab reads 3988mhz. The DRAM Frequency reads 900mhz. Is this right? Is it a case of the controller ramping up the frequency as and when it's needed? Thanks.

Thank you for this. I'll give it a go when I get in. Cheers.

Memory overclock. Do I have things right?

Hi all, For a while now I've been running a modest overclock on my i5 4690k. According to the BIOS the memory frequency is at 1600Mhz. Given that I have 2400Mhz memory I have come to the realisation that I may not be running the memory to it's fullest. Here are the settings in the BIOS where...

Can I get more out of my rig?

I'm going to try and get a few more frames out of ME:A tonight with some 970 overclocking. Once I establish a ceiling there I'll move onto the processor. Are there any particular settings I need to pay particular attention to in the Bios? Ring ratio etc?

Can I get more out of my rig?

Just to add, I am currently running +120mhz Core clock and +100mhz on the Memory clock.
