Luck of the draw gave me the 1st tee time tomorrow (07:58) for the weekly roll up  As if the golfing gods know. Range is now open from 7am, debating whether to get up really early to get a warm up in first or just book into the par three and hit a few 9i/PW to warm up.

Thanks - sound advice :) Point three well worth remembering. Just frustrating that I can't seem to play well on that course at all. Wish they'd mix it up and do the odd comp on the other course. Still they are supposedly going to start doing some afternoon comps this year to go with their...

A question for the masses, do you think course length has a significant influence on handicap? A conversion a couple of weeks back with someone who supports one of our systems at work got me thinking about this. Can't recall exactly how it came up but I mentioned I played golf and could...

First comp of the year today, I am not cut out for morning golf! Only did a few last year to get an initial handicap. Going to try and do more this year now I'm a full member and it's not costing me lots of credits. Utter garbage from first to last pretty much sums it up. 28pts playing off...

Wouldn't mind some of McCarthy's putting. I was pleased with 35 for my round earlier including a couple of one puts for par. He's had 91 all week tying the PGA tour record!

While we've still had plenty of rain recently down south we've also had warmish temps and a breeze to help dry things out so while bunkers are often GUR the courses have remained opened.

^ thanks. After measuring the Micra was the only one, besides the fold flats, that would fit in my boot without putting the seat down. I have to put one side down to fit the golf bag in and didn't want to have both down if I could avoid it to stop stuff rolling around. Just placed an order...

In the market for a compact trolley if anyone has any recommendations as to what I should be considering? Currently eyeing up PowaKaddy DLX Lite FF and Micra. Need to check measurements on the later to see if it will fit in my boot without folding seats down, which is my preference...

Feeling it this afternoon after carrying my full bag this morning and having got out for nine after work on Friday. Not much to write home about today but at least my driving was solid. Last couple of rounds it had been truly atrocious. Putting was shocking, 42 putts total! The number of puts...

Decided to bit the bullet and take out a full membership at my local club where I've been a flexi member the past year. No joining fee as I was upgrading, £142 a month and you can cancel at any time. You can get it cheaper by paying in one lump sum for the year but I wanted to spread the cost...

^ yeah, my club has a trackman range and when playing virtual golf chip shots around the green are always woefully inaccurate.

Week off work allowed me to get out yesterday afternoon. Course was soft but thankfully no fully waterlogged areas. Of course today it's ******* it down and both courses closed, although greens maintenance was taking place on the Cathedral yesterday so doubt it was due to be open today anyway...

Le Mans Ultimate (Official WEC game)

Only tried it at two tracks, Sebring and Spa. Found it OK at the former, I'm not quick but was at least able to lap consistently in the 1:55/56's in the daily races that were there. At Spa I found the steering too twitchy and was really struggling through Au Rouge. Looked in the setup but the...

Trying again for a new monitor...

If you want good HDR you'll have to go OLED or Mini LED. Anything else is a compromise IMO. If you can go without HDR and suffer a lowly 144Hz refresh I can highly recommend the monitor I'm using (LG 32GR93).
