I've been using a Shelly EM along side Grafana in home assistant. Still needs a bit of tweaking but seems to be doing what I want it to for now.
One CT round the mains and one round the heat pump, then I have two Knightsbridge smart wifi plug on the chest freezer and washing machine.
I found a...
The type I'm looking for is like this https://loop.homes/ where it clamps around the live outgoing wire in the consumer unit so I can monitor my heat pump.
Loop looked like the best I could find but they too have stopped API access as of November
Only just heard about and installed home assistant the other day when searching for a way to log my heating.
I have heatmiser thermostats but their app is completely useless for any kind of logging.
Really happy so far my HA set up. It's purely for heating at the minute but will start...
Yes, you can supply alarms from lighting circuits. I actually prefer this way because if your mcb or rcbo trips then you would know that your alarms also aren't powered if the lights don't work.
New builds, rewires tend to have a dedicated mcb/rcbo for the alarm circuit. Depending on the...
I've just switched to Symbio
Unit rate 14.928
Standing charge 14.500
Locked in for 2 years with a £25 early exit fee.
Reviews don't look too promising regarding customer services and estimated bills but hopefully keeping on top of submitting meter reading everything will be fine
If you have a multimeter check the continuity of both of the 3 cores cables disconnected to make sure they aren't damaged or broken inside the insulation or along the route.
Brown-Black
Brown-Grey
Should get a reading of 0.1 - 1Ω depending on the length of run.
Also double check that the 3c...
I'd be returning them as they are the 9v alkaline battery version (5 years)
The new legislation states long life tamper proof lithium battery (10 years)
Pressed enter too quickly and can't seem to edit the above post!
For ease go for the AICO 600 series
EI650RF Optical Smoke
EI603RF Heat Alarm for kitchen
This is what I install where there isn't easy access to run in new cables without lifting floors etc.
All AICO alarms have a 10 year...
Are you going to be using Sky Q?
I have mine installed last year and the installer said he would have to bypass my Triax Multiswitch and also bypass the same wall plate that you've got as neither were compatible with Sky Q.
Sky + on the other hand is Ok he said.
Has anybody got any info on how good these are?

Anyone in here knowledgeable on mechanical heat recovery ventilation systems?
I have a Paul Novus 300
When I look at the wall mounted controller it says
Outside air: 6.5°C
Supply air 11.5°C
When I check the temperature coming out of the ducting in the bedrooms is about 16°C
I was expecting...
This kitchen was supplied by Nolte - Another german manufacture.
I can send you more details if it's the style you are after.
It's matt white (still had the plastic protection on when the photos were taken) with a concrete effect worktop

I've got some samples of window tint coming so I'll see how I get on with them as id like to keep the view during the day.
I've been informed by a neighbour that the windows that were put into my house which are...
I've looked into something similar to this but the problem is the windows at the top are almost triangle shaped and not your conventional rectangle so I'm limited to the type of blinds I can use.
I think this might be to way to go, I'd rather do this than paint loads of walls - Thanks!
