    Elite Dangerous crash fix?

Its due to a combination of Windows 10 (not supported by ED) and immature graphics drivers (not production ready as the OS is still in beta).

Question for OCUK Staff - DS III White Keycaps stock?

With all due respect i must beg to differ on this. The function keys on the DS2 have completely different markings/back lighting commands when compared to the DS3. Whe you pay £30 for a bunch of printed keycaps i would expect them to be correct. The one advantage i did find with using DS2...

** The Official OcUK Mechanical Keyboard Thread **

I have a blue ducky shine 3 which is lovely and i tried the browns in the shop at the time of purchase which i liked, but subsequently went for blue switches. That was my first mechanical keyboard about 2 months ago. A week ago i purchased a CM Storm QF TK with white back light and brown...

Question for OCUK Staff - DS III White Keycaps stock?

and just to confirm, these will be shine 3 compatible? I ask because lots of sellers are flogging the shine 2 keycaps which may be compatible and fit, they dont have the same marking on the function keys for the DS3 Thanks PS. any rough ETA? 1-2 weeks or 1-2 months?

    Gigabyte MB Bios Change log

LOL! thats exactly why i posted the question. Have you looked at that forum recently? Its up to 895 pages so far and i really dont have time to sift through each page to find changes to my particular MB. I guess im just having a little moan as i dont think the change log exists anywhere...

    Gigabyte MB Bios Change log

This has been bugging me for a while now but does anyone know why a huge MB manufacturer like gigabyte don't publish change logs for their MB BIOS? I have a Z87-UD4H and am on F5. The latest is F8 but i want to know what has changed and been fixed before updating. It like Russian roulette...

    How is Windows 8?

Try it with an open mind and you won't look back. I find windows 7 dated now. Metro is not to everyone's taste but all it really is is a full screen animated start menu. Get your head past that and you will get it, My 2c

Anyone installed Windows 8.1 on GB Z87-UD4H?

Yea don't mess with secure boot unless you are 100% sure you know what settings will have an impact where. FYI there is a hot fix from Microsoft to remove the secure boot error watermark from the desktop. Google it and you should find it easy. Secure boot seems to be more suited to business...

    Gigabyte Z78X-UH5

I thought the rapid storage drivers were only required if you wanted to use an ssd as a cache drive only. I don't think you get better performance from installing them. Has any one tested this or seen any sites that have tested them? Would be very interested in setting results!

Anyone installed Windows 8.1 on GB Z87-UD4H?

think i go to the bottom of it. Its all about whether the OS has been in installed in UEFI mode or legacy BIOS mode. I installed my as UEFI because in my UD4 BIOS options, they were set to boot UEFI first. When my 8.1 install started it used UEFI so i get the GB logo during boot. Had my BIOS...

Anyone installed Windows 8.1 on GB Z87-UD4H?

ok so basically, i can confirm i have installed in UEFI mode (which is the right thing to do) and i dont want the old windows logo back. UEFI booting/sleep/resume/reboot is much quicker so all good! this video shows it nicely. You can see the dell logo on the UEFI booting laptop on the left...

Anyone installed Windows 8.1 on GB Z87-UD4H?

ok just had a play with the settings i think you were referring to in the boot priority in the BIOS and setting them to different values. It seems i must have installed in UEFI mode (which gives the GB graphics instead of windows logo during boot) because when i change to boot to non UEFI name...

Anyone installed Windows 8.1 on GB Z87-UD4H?

los, motherboard is fine for me and i do recommend it. Thing is im not a massive overclocker really. I dabbled when i first got and my CPU ran at decent speeds (4.3 if memory serves me) but i didnt push it more than that. BF3/4 (and anything else i throw at it) looks good at 1200p normal...

Anyone installed Windows 8.1 on GB Z87-UD4H?

Stulid, not sure i follow mate. Are you referring to the settings in the BIOS (of which there are loads that are UEFI related) or something else? Basically, what i did was physically install my new SSD alongside my existing one with windows 7 (there is also a normal 500GB SATA drive in there...

    Moving to Windows 8.1 ?

give it a chance on your physical install, you will like it when you get used to it (which takes a couple of hours). Remember, the windows logo key on your keyboard is your friend!
