Bizarre! This morning my One shows a notification that the Kitkat update is available. I get in from work and connect to the WIFI and run the update but it fails. I then try to run the update manually and it says the phone is up to date even though it is on 4.3 not 4.4.2. I've tried a reboot etc...

Battery life is 24 hours as long as you aren't thrashing the video/internet use. Corporate push email doesn't seem to affect battery life for me.

Same here now. Gone back to normal. Maybe the heat was just the upgrade set up. Only problem I have now is Google Keyboard can't be activated.Looks like a known 4.2.2 issue. HTC Swype is ok instead. I'm getting used to it now. .
