so went for it...Work colleague sorted my dilemma right away. Just mentioned I have 24U on order, he mentioned his brother is looking to buy 23U and 5 mins later deal done. Easier than dealing with trade-ins.
Already going through pain of restoring/reactivating all the apps, especially...
when I jumped from S22U Exynos to S23U SD2, I could really feel the difference in battery life, not sure if it'll be that great with S23U to S24U.
I feel like there's almost no significant improvements this time around (even considering the upgrade price)
currently on S23U 512GB, have preorder on S24U 512...after all the rebates and discounts it's coming at around 300 and debating whether it's worth it, especially if there is nothing wrong with the S23U. But then it's a really nice toy and I should treat myself...decisions decisions...
thanks...just did some more googling and the Spigen one actually is recommended on XDA... https://www.xda-developers.com/best-samsung-galaxy-s23-ultra-screen-protectors/
so I'll go for that for now and see.
Worst case I'll need to replace them with something else.
Screens with curved edges are...
finally gonna pick up my S23U, just need a final decision on screen protector.
Samsung's (EF-US918CTEGWW) are 20 for pack of 2, while Spigen Neo Flex 2 pack is for 15.
Reviews of both are equally trash...so...what to do?
so, what's the agreement on screen protector and case? i'm thinking
screen protector - samsung's own in 2 pack (is tauri releasing something for s23u?)
case - something from spigen maybe? i was looking at dbrand, as i used that with s22u, but $50? no thanks
so, 1399 EUR for S23U 512GB to start with, 10% store credit, 240e in vouchers from work and 689e for trade in of my S22U 256GB + 120 trade in bonus. All in all comes to slightly above 200e for upgrade and I think I can justify that.
Wish they would throw in some earphones you could sell too.
But...
I'd think that for potential repair you might be alright with original purchase receipt - and you just fill in your address/details when submitting RMA claim.
But when it comes to refund (if the card is beyond repair or they don't have spare parts), it'll always be the original buyer's card...
What floor area are you covering? You might need mesh instead of a single unit. Also, you have to have all your equipment/devices upgraded to wifi6 to see those speeds. I had to swap wifi for intel ax200 in my laptop. 900 mbps is perfectly achievable, but goes down rather quickly with distance...
So...what case are you people using?
I quite like dbrand version, because of the lens cut outs, grip and thinness, but it only ships in april. Anything available now?

For screen protector i've seen that TAURI set mentioned here...
Installing GOS update now.
Seems like geekbench results are now stable and it was indeed a problem with data/settings being transferred from previous phone.
Will probably just do an install from scratch, painful, but at least can review what’s really needed and lot of apps need...
Since i only got it yesterday, i’ll do a factory reset and won’t do a restore before re-rerunning to see if it has any effect.
edit: it did f all :) still low
edit 2: got 1200 on FHD on 2nd run.
edit 3: 1150 on QHD on 3/4th run
something definitely strange, on 1st runs it’s still low like...
I don’t usually do benchmarks, but decided to geekbench my s22u and getting 600 on QHD and 820 on FHD on singlescore.
What the heck.
Performance is ok, don’t really see it lagging.
