i find it noisy @ 50-55%, it does get hot if you aren't minimum @50% during gaming. to compare the noise i just got a 780 gtx dcu II and i must say it is sooooo much silent that i am glad i did not keep the 290, but for the price the 290 is the best value/performace. all depends what loud is...

Hello ! got my Asus GTX 780 aswell today just after sending back my 290. soooo silent ! i love it ! did some overclocking aswell, flashed an unlocked vcore bios and here is my result in firestrike :)

it was the opposite for me... cool in Furmark and hot during BF4, 2min test vs 2-3h gaming i sure know which is hotter.

I actually bought a 780 aswell but and in a few months i will get an 290/290x costum, the stock cooler is just too noisy and bad for me ( even if the performance is there )

saw the price of 359 euros for the 290, so that's about £300

omg a 290 OC + costum cooler si going to be one hell of a monster for such a great price :eek: i am sure it beats the 780 Phantom GLH ;)

that was the max during other tests and games with lower fan speed ( i did not close afterburner ) and if it really did go to 94°C during my last test then you wouldn't see 42°C right afterwards... as it takes a **** load of time to get back down in temp.
