just to add my experiences to this, i'm 6ft 3inches tall and when I did my bike licence in 2009 I was ~350LBs (just over 25stone) I did the 4 day intensive DAS course which meant day one was spent on a Yam YBR125.. I didn't really enjoy it but had no major issues.. it was a little strained...
