actually im not using the Tri-x only the R9 295x2 that was only for testing and benchmarks :D ... And when you wanna use only one gpu that`s the only way, with the r9 295x2 as primary is not possible that i know... but not sure
edit: Is my first crossfire build ...
just for the record xD
my fx 9370 at 5.0 ghz is not enough for my r9 290x
in games which are cpu demanding ive got almost the same performance than a 7970 with a 4770k, sometimes worst :(
so the fx should be absolutly discard for any crossfire setup
i've been there too xD
this is what i did and now i dont see any big fluctuation, well not exactly what i would like but still better
clean install 14.4, uninstall 14.4 not using ddu or other software, install 13.12 then install 14.3 over it and finally install 14.4 w/o uninstalling the old...
Update and my best, can`t get any better, well its an AMD lol
Fx [email protected] Ghz
Sapphire Tri-x R9 290x @1244/1690

Fx [email protected] Ghz
Sapphire Tri-x R9 290x @1208/1498
14.4
Mantle 80.3 fps
with dx11 stock and 1208 ive got almost the same result
1208@1498 dx11
