Yup, HDR1000 looks fixed indeed! Windows HDR tool goes a touch over 1000 for me on default 75 contrast. I'm only using HDR in games tho - SDR looks best to me on Creator preset. I'm glad I didn't go for the non F version now.

Cheers for the suggestion. That box is ticked and it says the selected display is not valdated as G-Sync Compatible, which I gather is normal. I notice tearing in Halo Infinite and in Atomic Heart tho. One reddit thread suggested an issue with this monitor and G-Sync with HDR. I'll do some more...

I'm gettign a fair amount of screen tearing with my AW3423DWF. G-Sync is enabled in control panel and everything looks correct settings wise. My understanding, after reading a bunch of reviews, that the DWF should still be fine with G-Sync. Has anyone else experienced this?

Still rocking a C7 - many hours of gaming over the years and the better half many more times that watching TV and no burn in yet. A handful of times there's been some retention that soon went away.

I had the same dilemma and ended up ordering a 4080 to go with a DW3423DWF on the weekend. It was a toss up between the 4080 and 7900xtx and it came down to price in the end. There was a new Palit OC 4080 going for 1k which, while still eye wateringly expensive, was cheaper than I could get a...

So in the end I chucked all reason out the window and ordered a 7800x3d rig with a 4080 rtx (new, Palit OC version for 1k. Still overpriced I know!) to go with a Dell ultrawide oled. My wallet is having a sulk but I'm pretty stoked!

If 1.5k gets me 75fps at 2560x1080 on high settings for the next 3 years, i'll be a happy chappy :)
