    FX8350 Overclocking FSB vs Multiplier

With this chip it's not the amount of rad that counts past a point - it's the waterblocks ability to remove all that heat fast enough. I've got a 240 with 4 fans on a lapped chip with liquid metal Tim and 4.8 on all 8 cores is all I can manage without throttling in prime. If I didnt...

SLI issues causing 100% CPU usage

It's bad nvidia drivers. SURPRISE! google around. This is so prevelant it's a wonder anyone is still buying nvidia. Due to this exact issue I built a backup rig. Amd for the first time ever. Not surprisingly the problem wasn't there. This was with 3 290x. My main rig is 4 titans and a 4790...

    ***Intel i7 4790K Owners thread***

unstaaaaable :P SS or it didnt happen >.> since i figure i ought to contribute something to the thread. mine takes 1.42v for 4.9 but its a pretty damn good chip. 5.0 is stable for my intents and purposes but not prime stable. Still cant get it prime stable with 1.46v and am not going any...

    Realistic World Stress Test

as of 28.5 i stopped using it. If i go from 24 hours 27.9 stable to 24 minutes 28.5 stable.. im done. Its archaic and completely writen off as of that point. It was already so stressful that you'll never see loads or temps like that no matter what you use your pc for. Now they bump it up...

    ***Intel i7 4790K Owners thread***

Pro tip - TIM has nothing to do with bad temps on these chips. It's the distance between the IHS and the die being larger than ideal due to the black adhesive used to hold it in place. You really think people would be yielding 20c temp differences due to TIM? C'mon :p don't we all wish lol.

    *** Intel i7 4790K 5GHz Club ***

LOL one more time. ITS NOT THE TIM!!!!!!! Haswell temps were bad because of the adhesive. They used too much which left a gap between the IHS and die. You seriously believe some TIM afforded people a 10-20c temp difference from a delid? With that said, your noctua is a good air cooler...

    *** Intel i7 4790K 5GHz Club ***

Your letting a 1m super PI Into a 5ghz club? Really?! Lol. I can manage that on my haswell. That's as good as a validation (unless that's the idea) but I would like to think atleast a 32m hyper PI run. Doesn't take much and Atleast indicates a good chip and a good understanding of what your...

    A cooler for a FX9590

An h100i is better than any air cooler so you would be getting something... Worse? Of course the difference isn't dramatic, neither is the price difference. At that point you consider all pros and cons and in my book the quality AIO always wins. (Looks, noise, etc) To be fair - if you...

R290 flashed to R290X not booting

    A) that's the non flashed side B) hell would freeze over before I went without a gpu and RMAd it when I could have it fixed in 10m by flashing it myself. I'm late as can be, but had to be said :p

    XHCI & EHCI USB3 Problem.

Lol wut? Not exactly sure how any of that is relevant. To the OP, found your thread trying to learn more about these damn settings myself as they are messing with my razer keyboard. How hard is it to simply list all USB ports and let you select usb 3 or 2 based on the port. Sigh.

    3 x 1600p Monitors: Tri 780ti's or Tri R290X's?

I wouldn't. I run 4 titans In one rig and 3 290x in the other. The "other" rig didn't even exist until I had extreme buyers remorse due to the titans. Nvidias software/drivers is just pitiful if your using SLI+Surround in windows 8.1. For example I run at 4680x2560 and get about 25 fps in ffxiv...

RadeonPro - How To Remove Micro stutter & Improve Frame Latency

Ironically in FFXIV I had the worst micro stutter I've ever seen. With 4 titans it was 60-30fps 16ms-60ms when it decided to act up (which was often) With Vsync off it was more like 120fps-45fps when it "stuttered" This is on maximum at 4680x2560. After spending what amounted to weeks...
