More Vram is a double edged sword. The 1000's etc had 8gb if Nvidia had just doubled that for say the 2000 series then again for the 3000's and so on you would then have even lazier game dev's not bothering to optimise the use of it . We have already seen this with some newer games. Then you...
See i paid equivalent if 920ish pounds for a 4080 overseas, but to step upto to a 4090 would have been another 500 pounds, UK pricing and lacks of good sales discounts on the 40 series and even the 7900's seems odd. would have been approx 650 pounds for a AIB 7900xt
Went with a 4080 because i wanted to, cost approx Equivalent to 930ish pounds and upgrading from a 1070 and skipping the 2000 and 3000 series i decided i'd saved enough already to cope with the silly gpu prices. Yes i could have spent 700 and got a 7900xt but i wanted to play with dlss etc this round.
Even if true, time they produce them then market them your probably looking at later this year. If you want to play now then buy now imo instead of forever waiting for the next new thing.

To the op if you wish to keep your platform a bit longer i'd suggest reading that thread and getting a cheap 6 core to drop in, Will o/c higher than your current one plus 2 more cores.
Humbugs hit the nail on the head here tbh.
6 core 12 threads is the lowest i'd recommend for anyone i know that wants a system to last a good few years.
I'll wait for ryzen 4000 series for my own build and jump to 12 cores 24 threads i think due to me not upgrading often.
Pretty sure calling others trolls is frowned upon not sure why some are allowed to have such a list as a sig.
I know all these people and their 3900x's are sure testing my will power in waiting for next gen ryzen before i upgrade :(
I think it will remain to be seen if the CPU's with all the latest updates do continue to hit the box speeds. TBH the reviews dont matter as those arent what AMD is stating it can hit.
AMD's best offer is the Ryzen 7 1700 that can be had for £134.
After OC, you would basically get virtually the Ryzen 7 3700X performance, that goes for £200 more.
First up you stated the 1700x Then posted a table for the 2700x. Both of which are basically EOL now anyway.
OFC if you wish to...
