**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

why did the price of most of the 1080ti cards go up slightly ? cards are supposed to get cheaper the longer they are out do people that preordered a few weeks ago still only have to pay the original price ? is this to make us regret not preordering ?

**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I forgot they were both called Seahawk, as I said I have caselabs with full watercooling with 7x 120mm fans and 1000W titanium PSU. I didn't buy a full size NVIDIA chip since the 780Ti though so I think this is the one for me. They say the MSI gaming x was the best card of the 1080...

**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I really want the Seahawk EK but not sure whether to preorder or not ... would ideally like to have it installed before may because my water loop in in a precarious condition and I had to downclock the cpu to 3ghz to stop it overheating, so obviously want to try and fix that at the same...

**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Unless the FEs drop to about £650 on average when the preordering phase ends I think it will work out about similar, seeing as the EK blocks with a backplate works out to about £130 and the MSI FE is about £720, you also don't have to worry about breaking the thing when replacing the stock...

**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I already have a good water loop but I need to clean it as its gone a bit wrong somehow and the flow rate is obstructed, not sure which chemical to use though as vinegar didn't seem to help at all. Since I need a 1080ti with a waterblock which one should I go for ? is the Seahawk one going...

When is Volta going to be released?

Well I used to like AMD until I experienced their products and now I don't anymore, is that fair to say ? I'm just looking at the products available on the market at the moment and how nvidias are better with the possible exception of the RX480 / 470 in some use cases. I don't know...

    Current go to 1070

I heard the MSI version was the best but maybe Zotac also good, I went with the EVGA one because it looked cool and they have a good reputation but apparently a certain component on the card is likely to overheat and set on fire

When is Volta going to be released?

Heres why I wouldn't advise buying a Vega - look at AMDs current best card the Fury X, its easily beaten in most cases by the 1070, especially in VR where the difference is even higher than you see in typical benchmarks such as this one...

**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Whats the latest news on Volta ? heard anything yet ? what sort of performance gains and release date are being estimated ? Tempted to get rid of my fury x in favour of a 1080 or Ti because my 1070 seems to be smashing it in VR, seems pointless though because they haven't even optimised...

    EVGA Pascal cards hotspot problem

Shocking, I like mine and I wasn't planning to get a different one for a while, it works fine for current gen VR and there are still untapped features ... I dont feel like playing around with computers at the moment so I will probably just let it blow up and then get them to send me a new...

Nvidia CEO To Break Major Gaming & VR News At CES 2017 Keynote

hopefully a 'VR gizmo', GTX 1080 is powerful enough to saturate any existing software demands on the current headsets, I want something with the same overall design as the rift but double the pixel density and significantly more horizontal field of view and no lens flare artifacts

    fury and 4gb limiting?

Its hard to make it run out of memory in normal games even if you downscale 4K. I did find an interesting situation though where cards without 6 or 8 GB struggle / are unusable, theres a virtual reality program called 'Virtual Desktop' which allows you to use a HMD as monitor...

The Pascal Titan X and XP Owners Thread

watercooling isn't that difficult, it just takes a while to learn, you need to do lots of reading and watch a lot of videos, I learned mostly from watching Jayz2cents It becomes hard when you try to do rigid tubes rather than soft, but that is more about visual appeal than function It...

** PASCAL IS NOW MOBILE: DESKTOP PERFORMANCE NOW AVAILABLE IN NOTEBOOKS!!!

Saw these on linus and wondered how much they would end up costing, considering a relatively weak laptop have traditionally been 1.5K+ Looks like no price increase over previous high end laptops though, keeping the price under 3K total, not bad ! One of these would probably get more...

    1080, 1080ti or Titan X?

I don't think I'd feel like I'd gotten a beast card if I had a 1080, lots of people seem to have them despite the unprecedented high price, it is a good performer but its not that far off from a 980ti or 1070 which are quite common cards, its not like the 780 a few years ago which was...

    Pascal Titan-X Launch

I guess we know why 1080 is so expensive now, not enough performance left in pascal to justify making a 1080Ti makes me feel a bit better about my 1070 purchase

    Fury vs 980Ti

I find that game optimization is better on nvidia cards than Fury, for example Ark Survival was really stuttery on my Fury X but worked quite smooth and higher FPS on 780Ti ... Also more VRAM on 980Ti.

ASUS To Raise Prices In The UK By 9%

I always bought their motherboards and never had a problem with it so to me they are good. Also heard good things about some of the ROG monitors but not seen it first hand I think they built up a good brand image but it does seem they are starting to lose it now. Never liked their...

    GTX 1080 Advice Required

reasons to get a 1080 over a 980ti = triple monitor setups and or VR, especially HTC Vive which does not have async timewarp framerate smoothing ( due to simultaneous multi projection in pascal ). Also some think its possible nvidia will nerf the maxwell cards performance to encourage...

Who is going to get a Pascal Titan X ?

Last I heard Titan cards were for profesionals, not sure if that has changed by now but I only make the ocasional dubstep montage video for fun Am looking to get a full size pascal card for under £500, though more realistically a 1070 if price drops in a few monthes ( replacement for a...
