A fantastic idea. I have done the same and haven't looked back - Switch is an amazing gaming system. Only thing that draws me back to my PC for gaming is old games and World Of Tanks, which my current GPU can handle.

At 1440p or 4k, CPU almost doesn't matter unless your graphic detail settings are very low or you're playing an old game. GPU would be the way to go. Oh well! Enjoy the shiney new gear.
