Finally managed to grab a 3080, based on the number of people both on here and on the discord that have managed to get one it seems this has been the biggest drop so far, good thing to as its been over a month since the last one.

Yep, and of course there was the news that Nvidia sold $175M of cards directly to miners. With bitcoin well over $30K and showing no sign of stopping things aren't going to get better anytime soon, even scalper prices aren't an issue for them as they'll make the money back in a couple of months...

Yep, unfortunately the discord bot was being throttled so the notification was sent out late, I managed to get there when the button was still green but alas there was no stock, must have missed out by a few seconds, gutted.

Was holding out for a discount and prime, so was gutted there wasn't one. Just signed up for the monthly prime so I could get the £10 on a £100 pund voucher deal, ended up buying an instantpot which I probably wouldn't have otherwise so I suppose the jokes on me.

I've got a few smart bulbs, a few smart bulbs and smart blinds all controlled via alexa, nothing major. I particuarly light the blinds pretty much everyone who has been round comments on them if they happen to open/close automatically while they're visiting.

I doubt it, they're sold out in most places, so demand is high and supply is low, not much reason to cut the price.

Pretty sure I'm getting the 3080 or the 20gb variant, but I'll still be wait for amd to release theirs just to see what effect if any that'll have on prices.

This is quite a but of fun, not sure about its longevity though, I dont think a new game mode or so a season will keep it fresh.
