Defintiley the 43" ROG STRIX XG43UQ out of that bunch just for the HDR1000 (or as some call it, proper HDR)
Only slight issue with it is I'd personally find it a bit big but that is personal preference (4K 32" is the sweet spot for me)
Upgrading from their you would just be looking at Mini LED...
I would if I were you your gpu should handle it.
If a game runs under it will just run as high as it can, no specific range with the normal range.
G sync will probably only work within a range but it's usually fron about 48 fps so you should be fine.
No reason you shouldnt if you are OK with losing that fuctionality, I like having the option to use it as an extra Display Output in case I need to trobleshoot a GPU for whatever reason, or just an extra output if I need it.
Not sure if there will be significant performance gains or not tbh.
Bottlenecks doing what? If gaming then there is nothing majorly significant between PCIE 3.0 and 4.0 GPUs but will depend on what CPU/GPU/Monitor resolution/frame rate you are using. Higher resolutions have less issues with CPU/GPU bottlenecks but that would apply to any setup.
Biggest...
I'd just re-use the thermal pads if I were you. Just want to strip it down, clean up the GPU die with isopropyl alcohol and re-paste.
Just take a note of the thermal pad thickness before you re-assemble in case you are still running into heat issues when you re-assemble but doubt you will be.
Using the hdr calibration app for Windows 11 makes a difference. Not available for Windows 10 last time I checked.
No idea if you are or not but duplicating the screen with a non hdr screen will probably disable hdr.
You need to find out which version of hdmi it is for both devices. You will need both to support hdmi 2.1 and a 10 meter hdmi 2.1 cable to meet your needs.
I'd probably go for a fibre optic cable at that distance.
Hdmi 2.0 maxes out at 4k 60 I think.
Yeah it will be different drivers. Uninstall drivers, turn off, install 4070, restart and install new drivers.
You can use DDU to remove all traces of previous drivers if you want to be thorough.
Yeah Mayhems got back to me in March 2023 and confirmed XTR had been permanently discontinued which is a shame. They said there was a quality control issue with the supplier of the base components out of their control, it was causing a conglomeration issue with some of the product.
My white XTR...
You don't need 16gb vram minimum for 4k 60 at all. My 3080ti easily gets over 60fps in Avatar and everything else I've thrown at it. Only exception is particularly heavy ray tracing in certain games (like alan wake 2) which you can simply lower those settings.
