Geez. Impressive. I can't get mine to go over 2000 without is bugging out during the first couple of scenes in Superposition bench. Most I've got it to be stable is at 1974/6100.

But if you don't want to put a waterblock on it, I believe that the Gaming X is the quietest. Closely followed by the Strix

DooM (2016) 8/10. Such a great fast pased shooter. There was a story hidden in there, but saved really for the cut scenes. Good 21x9 support and played in Vulkan so great framerates as well.

Very good news. What happens to cards that are RMA'd in this fashion? Are they fixable? Can they be refurbished, or given the precision engineering required, are they just bricks at that point and discarded / recycled?
