Yes I already own Win 7 64bit, thanks for the reply. First one looks spot on. Would you not recommend an AMD FX for gaming then? Going by price I could get a nice 8 core for a smaller price than the i5. Im trying to think what will last me the longest as I don't get a chance to upgrade often...

guys is there any guides in installing these about? just bought one for putting w7 onto, but am getting confused with all the posts in here about trimming and aligning them and needing software running in the backround to manage it?

Im just about to do the same thing, just ordered another hdd and have vista here ready to go in. Should i install the new hard drive first with xp, then start pc with vista disk in and select new hard drive?

Ive tried 2 new sticks of ram in every possible combination of slot and still does the same? this is doing my head in lol

between the red lines is moviemaker running for all of 50 secs then quits. I can still play games but it does it randomly.

The games dont crash as often as movie maker. Just looked at the page file, it does go up as i open more programs. Might try running on just 1 gig of ram?

Nothing in event log. Ive noticed i cant even use windows movie maker. Can load in a clip, but as soon as i load a few clips in the timeline it just closes. Ive noticed in the task manager that the page file usage never changes. Is that normal? This is buggin me now!!! lol
