Well it is limited if you see the whole picture, the 4000s are superior not only because they perform better in RT but because they can use DLSS+FG with RT and that is a game changer. Lumen is not as demanding and isn't looking as good as RT that we have seen in other games, and still the 4080...
If you are going to pay over £1000 for a gpu you should expect to turn on all the eye candy. RT is a big deal, it is the future, not just another feature.
Resident Evil Village use very limited amount of RT so the 7900XTX doesn't get crippled. Also 7900XTX is 12% faster in Resident Evil Village in raster but it loose to 4080 when RT is turned on. Therefore the 7900XTX get a much bigger penalty with RT in Resident Evil Village.
In games that...
New games tend to have some form of RT which is obviously favor nvidia, for all the old and non RT stuff both have practically identical performance. We cannot ignore RT this gen anymore because gpu's have become powerful enough to allow good performance with the help of FG+DLSS. Anyone who is...
The averages don't lie, the difference is 2% in raster (there is nothing further to argue about that).
And in RT the 4080 is 20-45% faster in games that make heavy use of RT.
+
less power consumption and less heat output
DLSS which is superior to FSR
and FG
The only advantages of the 7900XTX...
So you just list all the games were the 7900XTX is faster and you remove all the others that is equal or slower?
The average from Techpowerup 4K Rasterization comparison 7900XTX vs 4080 show that the 7900XTX is 2% faster compared to 4080 (excluding RT) and to be honest reviewers like the...
10-20% LOL?
If we exclude RT the 7900XTX in 4K is 2% faster on average compared to 4080.
If a 4080 can fit in the NZXT H500 it can fit in the overwhelming majority of pc case. All the non reference designs have similar size regardless if it is 4080 or 7900XTX, so no, the size is not an argument.
I finding interesting that the 7900XTX is selling so much better that 4080 in this retailer. I mean for only 10% more money the 4080 offers so much more compared to 7900XTX. (DLSS, FG, beter RT, lower power consumption)
As long as it fit into the case, size doesn't bother me, in fact it is a good thing to have a giant heatsink for silent operation. With the 4080 you can play low demanding games and the fans wont even turn on.
