Hi all. A few years ago I got lumbered into replacing the downlights in my parents kitchen. I bought some 'ledlite' units from TLC, in natural/daylight temperature, and unfortunately the colour was horrendous. However my parents being humble said it looked fine and kept them, however now several...
Did you get anywhere with your Nest problem, @Faded?
I've had zero success getting multiple smoke alarms (nest protect) devices working on my network. I think it's to do with IPv6 and multicast for discovery, but as far as I can see this is not disabled on my router (mikrotik running RouterOS)...
That is most useful, thank you. Oddly searching for "big and tall office chairs" didn't return 'bariatric' as a useful keyword. Maybe just my google foo.
I am a fat barsteward.
I currently have a Humanscale Freedom. Hate it. It's not designed for someone my mass, so the cantilever effect doesn't work and reclines too easily.
I have tried HM Aeron's, yes the Size C too, but the front lip of the seat pad digs into the underside of my thighs too...
Never underestimate the knowledge of a pack of nerds :D
Well the PC was originally built back in 2011, but I think this refresh into the current case and motherboard was alive 2017.
I'll take a look. It's a quiet PC, so suspect I may possibly have bought the case from somewhere that...
It's in a running machine but is possibly the cause of some instability. Going through my old emails, it looks like it might be a Corsair RM650x, but doesn't seem to match any photos of such a product.
I can't take it apart yet, just want to try and ID it.
Long shot I know.
So after some thoughts and discussions, I will probably replace "?" with a simple junction box/outdoor sockets and use a 20A RCBO in the primary CU for now. If and when have additional circuit needs, I will reassess.
What's actually more pertinent is how the grounding will work. I've confirmed...
It's a good and valid question. I suspect not, and the external socket was really there just to act as a junction box and get the house built/signed off. It's cheeky.
IIRC it was because the paving happened all of a sudden and the local electrical wholesaler only had 4mm in stock. It's...
When my house was built I got the builder/sparky to add a 6mm2 feed to the rear of the house for future expansion. Now i've landscaped the garden, I want to get the power hooked up.
I've done a basic sketch below. My original plan was to add a CU where the "?" is on the top-left corner (this is...
U-NET. Not UU-NET.
Used to plug into the JANET backbone IIRC. My static hostname was kewl.u-net.co.uk I seem to recollect!
Demon was next, with slackware.demon.co.uk
Been with A&A since 2000 now.
Hi all
I've got a couple of runs of armoured cable running through the garden and now is the time to terminate them. Below is a rough sketch that shows the current state.
I need to select a consumer unit and/or appropriate housing for (2) on the diagram. This will be mounted to a brick wall...
Pretty much any synthetic 5w-30 will be just fine. The manufacturer-specific ones are typically due to emissions more than anything else.
If 5w-20 is an option, then technically this would be a superior oil from a wear-reduction perspective.
