I also do, see my signature for the CPU-Z validation which should clarify what RAM I am using with the 3990X (yes, you read that right hehe).

Zenith II Extreme stuck in standby state

EDIT: Fixed, was just torx screws were not tight enough. May need to redo thermal paste though, temps rise too quickly imo and get hot according to the processor, even with just 16 cores unload load. Custom watercooling loop with a 420mm radiator and four noctua fans should surely cope with even...

AMD will live stream its 6th Jan CES 2020 press conference

Using it, admiring it? Joke aside :P. For starters: - My ARK and ATLAS cluster (these can be pretty CPU demanding) - Email and web server - NAS - Small PBX - Shared gaming rig perhaps (Unraid I imagine), e.g. more than one monitor and more than one GPU sharing the same motherboard, memory and...

AMD will live stream its 6th Jan CES 2020 press conference

I assume we can't pre-order at some point in advance (when price is set that is)? I hope there's ample stock :P.

AMD will live stream its 6th Jan CES 2020 press conference

According to AMD's own website, and I believe the press conference as well, it says TRX40. "64 cores provide an astonishing 128 threads of simultaneous multi-processing power, while 288MB of combined cache and vast I/O from the enthusiast-grade AMD TRX40 platform work together to deliver...

AMD will live stream its 6th Jan CES 2020 press conference

From what I understand, it's capable of working on the TRX40 chipset. I'm hoping whichever motherboard I end up buying in advance, possibly today even, will officially support the 3990X when it's released (even if it means a BIOS update is necessary).

AMD will live stream its 6th Jan CES 2020 press conference

No mention of the TRX80/WRX80 chipset, so I assume that was abandoned or perhaps will get an announcement at a later date. I'm looking forward to ordering (or presumably pre-ordering) the 3990X though.

Openreach speedy up installing G.Fast pod

Yeah I have one here too, question is whether I'll be close enough to even get g.fast. I'm around 500 meters away from my cabinet from what I can tell. I'd like faster upload speed more then faster download speed. Hopefully I'll find out when it goes live, hopefully in autumn.

    Anyone Using an Asus DSL-AC68U

Hi all, So after many firmware updates I decided to give this another try. Default settings still gave me massive instability, so then I started to play with them to try and see if I could determine what's causing me the instability. So far it's looking like the bit swapping was, the moment I...

Ah I see. Yes, I have it now, it's all installed and running perfectly at 5.2GHz. I'll write a positive review on the product page in a few moments, thanks again! EDIT: Tried to leave positive review but it could be that the review has to be manually approved.

8Pack Binned 5ghz+ Delidded 7700K CPU's for sale at OCUK

I'm eagerly looking forward to receiving the overclocked bundle (8Pack Xtreme Z270 - Intel Core i7 7700k @ 5.10GHz - Overclocked Kabylake Bundle), which was ordered on March 3rd. But I just phoned to find out how it was progressing after being told on Friday that it would be ready latest by...

DON'T BUY MSI THEY MIS-SOLD TOP SPEC GT SERIES LAPTOPS with MXM Graphics

Thanks, sounds like it was mis-sold then. Also sounds more hassle than it's worth so I'll wait until I want a new laptop and avoid buying MSI products in the future.

DON'T BUY MSI THEY MIS-SOLD TOP SPEC GT SERIES LAPTOPS with MXM Graphics

Hi, I've been trying to read through a lot of the thread but I have a few questions. I have an MSI GT72 2QE Dominator Pro G laptop. Is it true MSI are trying to charge for the slightest defect (dust, scratch, etc.)? If I also decide to go for the upgrade program, will I have to make sure the...

The ROG Rampage V Edition 10 Owners Thread

Well I've almost fixed my problem. It was nothing to do with the SATA ports in the end (which I didn't really believe). After looking again at what's happening in daylight I noticed that my case (Thermaltake Core X9), the back bit where you screw the cards in place, well it wouldn't let the...

The ROG Rampage V Edition 10 Owners Thread

I can't quite tell for sure but I looked again at how the graphics card was hitting the SATA ports and it looks like the circuit board still has around 1mm or so gap, while the EK water block on it might be the culprit of preventing me pushing the card fully in to slot 1 and 3. Well, as it...

The ROG Rampage V Edition 10 Owners Thread

Oh, wait, I assumed that was just for LED's to show where you put them on the motherboard? I'll give it a try. At the moment however even with just one card (switched to the other Titan X), I'm just getting x8. The only thing I don't have plugged in is the 4-pin molex at the bottom of the...

The ROG Rampage V Edition 10 Owners Thread

Well I tried replacing the SLI Bridge and things apparently got worse, I had no display. I've now taken out the second Titan X and the display's back, however GPU-Z says the card is running in PCI-E 3.0 x16 @ x4 3.0. I'm currently at a loss other than assuming my motherboard has a fault :(.

The ROG Rampage V Edition 10 Owners Thread

Maybe it's worth me upgrading to 0601, it might fix the problem I had from occurring again. EDIT: After running GPU-Z I noticed one my GPU's (presumably my primary one) is running at PCI-E 2.0 x8 (PCI-E 2.0 x16) while the other is running at PCI-E 3.0 x16 (PCI-E 3.0 x16). I imagine this is a...

The ROG Rampage V Edition 10 Owners Thread

Is anyone getting micro stuttering or severe input lag? I've tried a fresh install of both Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, all drivers installed and up to date, even no overclocking and I seem to be getting stuttering and USB devices dropping for some milliseconds (e.g. keyboard/mouse) when playing...

The ROG Rampage V Edition 10 Owners Thread

To answer this, yes you can turn off the RGB LED entirely so it's not lit. I've not found a way to remove the armour easily however, I wanted to temporarily do this as there's a bit of transparent plastic that you're meant to be able to peel off but it's stuck underneath part of it, so I've had...
