** NEW AOC GAMING MONITORS 2020 RANGE - TASTY GUBBINS **

I can confirm too, not tried the others but got the AG353UCG (sent back today) and found the fan noise annoyingly loud. While it looks like there’s no fan on the back this is because it’s in the bottom left and exhausts there. AOC’s website advertises the monitor as having a DP1.4 and mini DP...

    LG 38GL950G - 3840x1600/G-Sync/144Hz

As Phixsator says variable overdrive is completely unnecessary on an OLED display given its native 0.1ms response - it is literally not a problem it isn’t “G-Sync Ultimate”, it makes no difference in this case.

4k Ultrawide Gsync 120Hz+ or OLED TV alternative

Love a large monitor! The dream is a spec list like the new Asus but Ultrawide (5120 x 2160) at 40" which is the same height as a 32" 16:9. Maybe one day but not this year...

Will Freesync monitors run at max refresh rate with Nvidia GPUs?

Some do some don't, as far as I'm aware the 34UC88 only does 60Hz with NVIDIA. I think it's a side-effect of Freesync, in these monitors (such as this the 38UC99 and Acer XR34 for example) the boosted refresh rate only works when Freesync is enabled. NVIDIA would have to support Freesync for...

    Samsung 34" 3440x1440 Curved VA 100HZ Freesync

I watched some bits of the video but don't quite understand why he comes to that conclusion except he got a properly working Microboard vs the bad luck of getting a problem with the Samsung. The other argument I saw was that the Microboard can do things like 144Hz at 1080p etc which is somehow...

    MicroBoard M340CLZ 34" Curved 3440 x 1440 100hz Freesync monitor

I'm a little skeptical - have you tested to see if it's frame skipping at all? As far as I'm aware 109Hz is literally the ragged edge of what DP 1.2 is capable of at 3440x1440, I'm not entirely convinced this screen is capable of that.

    LG 38UC99 - 37.5'' 24:10 3840x1600 75Hz IPS FreeSync Strobing Backlight

It is stretched though so it kinda kills it IMO, although I'm sure you know that! ;)

Not quite I'm afraid! Rainforest warehouse, the box had been opened and repackaged but there was no sign the screen was used. Rainforest discount it as it is warehouse and then I got extra 20% discount (I think for membership) + 5% student discount on top. Still got all the Asus warranty and...

Are you going to stock these again OCUK?

I'm afraid it means you've essentially been running at 60Hz with rest of the frames getting skipped.

After having tried the Acer X34 twice unsuccessfully (both had problems & I switched back to my Dell U3415W) I saw a good deal for the PG34 and went for it! Happy to say it is absolutely perfect, little BLB, 100Hz and no scanlines in sight. Very much enjoying my experience! Not bad for £690...

HDR would be great! An Ultra-wide with it would be approaching perfection.

    LG 38UC99 - 37.5'' 24:10 3840x1600 75Hz IPS FreeSync Strobing Backlight

If LG can combine it with G-Sync I would jump all over this ;) Daniel pls? :)

240hz is here (native - no overclock)

It doesn't I'm afraid as 1080p @ 1080p is the same bandwidth as UHD so all it needs is the current G-Sync module with DP 1.2 to drive it.

    URGENT UPDATE ON LG 38UC99

Thanks for the update Daniel. As much as I've been tempted by this screen it has too many (little or otherwise) flaws to consider sadly, especially as an NVIDIA user! Very much looking forward to your 144Hz 1440p Ultrawide, fingers crossed not too far into 2017 ;)
