The Pascal GTX 1080 Ti Owners Thread

Just got one of these bad boys https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-geforce-gtx-1080ti-sea-hawk-x-11264mb-gddr5x-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-33m-ms.html Seems very good, although possibly the blower fan in it is a little rough sounding. Rest of the fans in my case are Noctuas, so I doubt its...

    Samsung LS34E790C - Curved 34" 21:9 super-wide

I have one of these, had for about 15months or so. I am getting sharp interference at the moment. As if there has been a lightning strike nearby. The entire screen go's off and the speakers pop. All happens in a few 10ths of a second Any advice where to start troubleshooting?

Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

Brilliant post. It really stands out from most of the drivel in this thread.

Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

I only see the jump to the 980Ti as making sense if you have already paid the G-sync tax. That seems to add on at least another £60 in costs, more if you go higher es.

Will you be ditching your 980 TI\TX for Pascal?

    The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Hi Fury X owners. I have pre-ordered a Vive. Currently I have a GTX980 and am thinking about swapping it out for a FuryX. What kind of performance increase would you think I would be looking at? Also looking at the ones in OC store I can't see any obvious difference between the different...

    HTC Vive to cost $799?

The cancellation policy on the HTC site looked UK standard. Ie 14 days after shipping, no questions asked return. I assume it's the same if you use PayPal, I used CreditCard

    HTC Vive to cost $799?

I can confirm there was only Express shipping available when ordering via the HTC site. We have a month or so to sort out any excess shipping charges (if there are some), once the initial ordering peak dies down.

NVIDIA GPUs to Accelerate Microsoft Azure

I could see cloud gaming working only working for certain very niche types of games. Games that don't really need a quick connect between input and observed action. VR would be terrible, imagine the nausea you would get when every head turn had to be processed locally, encapulsated into IP...

AMD Radeon R9 Nano coming next week

Surely it would not be a decent test though, as everyones SFF case design is different. Mine for instance is terrible and would probably restrict the airflow enought to allow the card to overheat. However some of the SFF build I have seen demonstrated on these forums are very good and look like...

    Talk Talk - Epic Fail

I blame Cameron for forcing the ISP's to foist it on everyone. TOR should bypass it, not ideal, but if you really need to dodge the filter.

Motherboard - Coolant leak and damage - Recoverable?

Thanks, it is always re-assuring to hear from someone who has experienced a similar issue before. I have had the dryer on it for a bit, but mby not long enough. I'll give it a much longer blast tonight and see if it improves the situation.

Motherboard - Coolant leak and damage - Recoverable?

Hi all. I am in the unfortunate situation of having had a leak from my CPU block onto my motherboard. The liquid has come down from the block around/through the DIMM slots and over the pins for power/reset/hdd led etc. Now the board does not power on. When connected to the PSU the board...

AMD begins to ship Radeon R9 Nano to partners, images hit the web

Yes, that makes sense. Ideally I want 4096 Fiji without having to pay for the AIO solution that I would just rip off and bin. I will wait for Nano release and then see how much it is nerfed.

AMD begins to ship Radeon R9 Nano to partners, images hit the web

Forgive me if this is a silly question.... Assuming the Nano is the same chip as the Fury X, but downclocked for lower power consumption. Would you guys expect the ability to clock it up to Fury X levels, assuming you sorted the cooling by adding a custom waterblock or equivalent. The...

    Fury X vs 980ti

Fury X looks better for my system, so I will probably pick one up in August. I will be wanting to stick a custom block on it, so might as well wait for the air cooled version, as I imagine it will be a little cheaper than the AIO. Not going Nvidia again due to (imo) price gouging on g-sync and...

Possible Radeon 390X / 390 and 380X Spec / Benchmark (do not hotlink images!!!!!!)

Very interested in this now, if it is exceedingly short then it can replace the 980 in my Elite 130 and give me enough room back to fit a reservior onto the pump of my custom loop. That of course when a decent waterblock for it comes out. The shortness will be really usefull in cramped ITX...
