No regrets here. Went from flat 27" to curved 34". 100% go with the 34" ultrawide, I'll never go back to standard 16:9 monitors now.

I went from a 980Ti to 2070S. I saw about a 50% increase in performance. I play 3440x1440 and majority of games are 60FPS on High/Ultra settings. Honestly, if I had a choice, I would have stuck out till the 3XXX series cards come out, but unfortunately my 980Ti died on me so it forced my hand.

Rough. I did the same upgrade (980Ti to 2070 Super), on a 4770K and my FPS increased by 48% at 3440x1440 in Assassins Creed Origins benchmark (39 -> 58). Funny, that's EXACTLY the expected effective speed difference on UserBenchmark.

Have you tried searching for a software based KVM? It's not Mac compatible, but I use http://www.inputdirector.com to use 1 keyboard/mouse for both my laptop + desktop. Works perfectly, it's like having a second monitor, you can even copy + paste between them. Maybe there are Mac compliant ones...

Yeah, that is really annoying. Some games look spectacular and you get way more vision (Far Cry 4). Others just crop off the top/bottom, which makes it worse in the long run (Watch Dogs *surprise!* ....although think Flawless Widescreen Fixed that for me).
