So you want to replace your gaming PC with Google Stadia.? You might want to think again...

I'm a founder too. For the price, I get a Chromecast, which I will use post Stadia, 3 months service, a buddy pass and a controller. That means the controller cost me ~£6 at the end if I stop using Stadia. It appears that the controller works outside of Stadia if used in the wired config. I'm...

Simple home network solution for Windows/Android/Apple devices

Can you share the folders on your PC ad use a file browser to view from your phone? I use File Explorer and it's on both Android and iOS. You could try Syncthing for moving files across.

    Need help building/buying gaming PC

Firstly, welcome to the forum. Sometimes it can be quite. What sort of thing are you looking for? What games might you be playing? If you need a monitor, what resolution would you like - higher resolution might mean s beefier system. With a 2k price range you could be looking at a good system...

B550? I was hoping someone would say that about the CPU as that would most likely mean new MoBo.

I am interested in ray tracing but it's the step up in Vram for newer games I'm thinking of. What are your thoughts on CPU?

Time for new CPU or just GPU?

Hi All, TLDR: Is the 2070 Super the best upgrade path and do I need to upgrade CPU, or has it still got life left? I've got the itch to upgrade and I think the biggest issue is my GPU. Currently I run 980's in SLI. They aren't very frugal with juice and while they can still hold there own at...

    Heatsinks/Pads/Strips for NVME drives?

I've never thought about it - mine sticks out of the board and is directly in the fans airflow path so I suspect it wouldn't be needed. I wouldn't bother though. If it got that hot then I'd worry about other components too. :)

SSD -> External HDD -> NVMe (Cloning Windows 10)

I did this recently and used Macrium Reflect, as the others above me have mentioned. I created rescue media first and on boot up redirected the PC to use the NVMe drive as the boot drive via the boot menu in the BIOS. Useful link to creating rescue media with Macrium...

    Crashplan

I wouldn't backup your videos, unless they are home movies. It'll take too long, you've seen that! I would purchase a small NAS that can have a mirrored disk setup (raid name forgotten) and backup those large videos using that! You could always have a third copy that you only backup to...
