Are those profiles working with games? I think ive read somewhere, that game gamma settings etc override the icc profile settings. Is that correct? Tanks.

No way. If 60 fps is not a must for you, even a single 980 is doing a good job at 4k. In case it does'nt, go for custom res 21:9 i.e. 3840x1620, which makes a 38 inch 21:9 screen. With that I even play The Witcher 3 and GTA5 at max settings at 30 fps. Looks truely stunning on this monitor.

3840x1620 is what I am using. I mostly play in 21:9, I like the aspect ratio which is even more imersive that 16:9 to me. Additionally you have more fps:)

Thank you for your answers. I actually think it is the monitor, but I will try to verify that again. As long as the screen keeps working flawlessly, I dont care much about the clicking...although it is kinda anoying not to know, where it comes from... Thanks for the hint with the peripherals and...

The "flickering" after booting is due to syncing of the monitor and the source. Happens sometimes, I know that from my projector. Nothing to worry about.
