When are you going fully electric?

I love my iPace - probably the only car that 2.5 years into ownership I haven’t got bored of. Done loads of holidays and long trips in it and it’s been totally reliable. Fast, decent range, great handling and practical and value wise sits nicely between the Kia and Porsche. For some reason it’s...

What did you do to your bike today?

hah, love the sound. I went to the MZ museum in Berlin a few years ago. I loved it, but the mrs was less impressed lol

When are you going fully electric?

I’ve had my iPace one year now and still absolutely love it. Only done 4K miles due to COVID and wfh meaning very little commuting but that includes two holidays in Scotland. is an EV for everyone? Not at this point. For me it’s perfect as I can charge on the drive and rarely do more anywhere...

When are you going fully electric?

Yeah, agreed with all that. Jag made a recent update which increased the range by 8% (essentially just allowing more useable of a the battery) so maybe they are just gathering data. Pretty sure that the Tesla DC charging limit was more like 20k miles though?

When are you going fully electric?

it will be interesting to see how it all pans out. Talk on some other forums is that Tesla is really pushing the batteries and longevity/future warranty claims might be an issue. They seemingly reduce the charge speed after a certain amount of DC charging and mileage. I have an iPace and...

When are you going fully electric?

I’m currently charging at Gretna on the way home from Scotland. Fast and reliable chargers but expensive at full price. Top tip is to sign up for the German Maingau app and just register your U.K. bank account against it. You can then charge at 0.40 Euro per kWh vs the standard and hugely...

    Show Us Your Motors!

I’ve done the NC500 a few times on bikes. To be honest it’s all about the views, so a comfy bike or car is the best option. A lot of the roads are single track and in the busy months are packed full of camper vans - they really aren’t the best driving roads, especially when the scenery is so...

yeah, I think the planning is the biggest inconvenience, but using https://abetterrouteplanner.com/ makes it a lot easier. I quite enjoy it but my wife would hate it!

The power delivery and regen is perfect for the passes, hairpins and single track roads. Also brilliant for passing all the bloody camper vans!

Don’t get me wrong, if you do those drives on a regular basis an ICE car still makes more sense. For me it’s a once a year trip. The rest of the time electric is more convenient for me as I never have to visit a petrol station and leave the house everyday with a full ‘tank’ My point was that...

    Show Us Your Motors!

I saw that review. I thought it was a little one sided around the charging infrastructure. There's no doubt you do need to plan your long trips with an EV (although you can also get caught out with an ICE car in remote areas of Scotland!, however even a little research would have shown him...

Picked this iPace up a month and 1000 miles ago. Loving it so far. Electric suits my driving patterns (and tac status!). Not quite Tesla quick, but quick enough and one one peddle driving is awesome. Takes a few habit changes for long journeys - we're currently in Scotland after a 260 mile...

When are you going fully electric?

Not getting into the green debate at all, but I bought (well, leased due to the tax breaks!) an iPace a month ago. Absolutely loving the car and drive train so far. Currently in Scotland after a super easy drive up charging at Gretna (IONITY) and a few free charges on the Charge Scotland...

    Cycle RAGE!!!!!

You know nothing about bikes. A road bike, whether carbon or aluminium is incredibly strong. You can actually use them off-road for most terrain that people think a mountain bike is needed. https://youtu.be/gvL1agpqwvE I drive, cycle and ride a motorbike. Cars are the things that slow me down...

Don't think I ever posted pics of my new bikes. Changed the GS Rallye for a new water-cooled model, and the S1000RR for a Street Triple (90% track bike) IMG_3358 by Dave Wrightson, on Flickr IMG_2991 by Dave Wrightson, on Flickr

excluded based on gender...... W series

Are you saying there’s a fundemantal, biologically programmed reason that women don’t like motorsport? So it’s nature not nurture?

excluded based on gender...... W series

Point proved - thank you. No interest in it due to no role models or promotion as something that women can / should be interested in. What a wasted talent that would have been no?
