ive just upgraded from 9700k to 13900 and differences in cpu usage are huge. bf 2042 went from 90% usage on average at 1440p to 30% usage. R6 seige barely reaches 10& However one thing thats bugging me cinebench r23 multi-core score is 18k when it should be 32k. Not sure why, its all set on auto...

My cinebench score is rather low-18k Everything is on automatic apart of v core which is set to 1.25v Max power consumption for cpu is 170w and cooler type in bios is set to water cooling at 400w and boost to all core. Not sure why it’s so low.

Thanks for your replies everyone I’ve managed to get my xmp profile stable by setting SA voltage to 1.2 and I’ve set the cpu voltage to 1.25 and left everything else on auto. However when I checked hwmonitor SA voltage is still on auto it seems so think ure right about hard locked SA setting...

A quick update. Set 13900 voltage to 1.25v and xmp profile boots but not stable in gaming I’ve lowered the xmp speed from 7200 to 7000mhz and it’s fine. However shall I try xmp profile and up the sa voltage to 1.25v? Using latest bios, thanks

I’ve just bought a 13900 non-k cpu and z790 carbon wifi with 32gb Corsair dominator 7200 mhz ram. I was thinking of the settings for the cpu and undervolting . Should I set cpu voltage to 1.3v and leave everything on auto and load xmp?

I’ve just repasted GPU using thermal grizzly kryonaught and thermalright thermal pads which have double the thermal conductivity. GPU was crashing and I imagine memory overheating Just ran half an hour of heaven no crashes and temp in div 2 has dropped from 83 to 77

I’ve used the thermal right equivalent on my z760i gaming edge motherboard and worked a treat. Thermalright have much better economies of scale and is just the same quality but 1/4 of the price. I’ll try and send a pic later

I must admit dominator ram has been rock solid past 2 days and have gamed profusely. I’ll keep the newly acquired g skill ram as it was a slight bargain as well and will slot it in once I get the itch to do so!
