Don't know the cause of your problem but I will mention my monitor went black when my capacitors went bad. I'm typing this message using the same monitor. I replaced my power board and also replaced the capacitors the board came with to prevent this from happening again. I'm no technician but...

Mine went black after a year due to its capacitors blowing. I replaced my capacitors with 68UF 12.5X50 Rubycon ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITORS 68uf/450v from our favorite auction site and I feel good! I like my BDM4065 monitor. Love the blacks with no light bleed. I couldn't let this monitor go.

I'm enjoying mine. I love the blacks with no light bleed at all. The monitor has its quirks with some color banding but overall I like my Philips. The new one, BDM4350UC, is now available in some parts but it's using IPS screens. I know IPS is better for gaming but I have no complaints with...

Just saw this video on YouTube. What happened to this guy is what happened to me. Same smoke, same side of the monitor. Link>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzAqwq6KkFo

I'm going to take your advice and be a little more careful with my monitor. I'm a little familiar with replacing caps, but advice helps as I'm not trained. I do know about polarity. I replaced all the caps on my NEC TurboXpress. Remember that one? :D I must admit the $1000 I've saved for over...

I don't remember the smell. What I found strange about the smell is it wasn't an electrical smell. I don't have a way to test the power supply other than connecting it to my monitor. I will replace the caps on my current power supply first.

Though something was evaporating into steam, the source wasn't from water. The smell wasn't electrical, and there was no smoke. It was strange, and it wasn't water. When I inspected the metal housing covering the power supply, I saw a yellow, oily residue blanketing the capacitor area. That's...

So I'm sitting in front of my monitor and I hear water vaporizing. I look around and see steam coming out of my monitor from the back, towards the right. My power supply gave out a little after a year of use with this monitor. This monitor has no light bleed, good angles, rich colors, deep...

I connect my USB wireless charger to the fast USB port on my bdm4065 but it stops working after the monitor goes into stand-by mode. Anyone know how to keep this USB port powered without disabling stand-by mode?

Just watched a video on Youtube on a monitor from Wasabi. The model was a Mango UHD420. The host said Wasabi has a webpage at the site offering Freesync firmware for the this monitor and confirmed it works 100%. The monitor is 42 inches with a AH-IPS panel manufactured by LG. Does anyone know...

There are a few Fury X crossfire multi monitor reviews out in the internet. They favor AMD over Nvidia when doing multi monitor setups. I'm waiting for the FueyX2 due out this fall.

I bought a 200x200 plate from Amazon. The plate came with screws. My problem was the holes on the plate were bigger than the screw heads so I had to add washers.

That is one of the options you give us! I would wait for the Fury X dual GPU and get that one. If your finances doesn't allow that expenditure, then get the R290 for a Crossfire setup. I have aR295X2. When viewing Windows, only one is active and I get no lag @ 4K resolution. If you're a...

If you think this monitor is a joke, you should read through this thread and definitely read this review>> http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/philips_bdm4065uc.htm I have one and can say this isn't a joke of a monitor. 4k monitors are becoming common.

Crisis 3, Project Cars, FarCry 3 and 4, is a start from my perspective. There're are a few with 4k. I prefer playing my games at 1920x1080 or HD@ 1440.

I use Smart Uniformity along with an ICC profile from TftCentral.co.uk. ITfT Central did a review on this monitor and calibrated it using hardware, software. I find the colors are richer using this profile. I'm really enjoying this monitor. Sounds like you're so used to seeing light peeping...
