Mid-range Ryzen CPU + Low-end GPU or new Ryzen APU?

@Tetras Appreciate the links, I'll check out those tomorrow. I had kind of discounted Intel, but it will be interesting to look again. Considering my use is productivuty, not gaming.

Mid-range Ryzen CPU + Low-end GPU or new Ryzen APU?

Thanks for the replies so far. To elaborate on a few questions. Main use is general day-to-day stuff, but I often do a bit of file compression/decomression. Also a bit of video encoding, usually Handbrake. Video recording with OBS Studio. VS Code from time to time. With the DDR4 ram I have...

Mid-range Ryzen CPU + Low-end GPU or new Ryzen APU?

I'm not up on specs currently (haven't been for a long time), but I'm considering a new build in the near future, I've been waiting for the new Ryzen apu's to come out to compare prices. It will be a budget+ build but I still want a decent system. I'm not a gamer so I don't need powerful...

Considering a 4G router/dongle and Smarty data sim, any good?

I'm sure I read that Smarty recently started using EE or O2, but I see they are owned by the company that owns Three. I used to not get coverage from them here, but their coverage checker shows I get a good signal. I've looked further afield and Lyca have a cheaper unlimited offer too. I see...

Considering a 4G router/dongle and Smarty data sim, any good?

That might be a bit overkill just to download Linux distro's quicker. :)

Considering a 4G router/dongle and Smarty data sim, any good?

    That's a good price, but I can't get a Vodafone reception here.

Considering a 4G router/dongle and Smarty data sim, any good?

I get mixed coverage here depending on the provider. I think Smarty use either EE or O2, both of which have a good signal where I am, well they are the only ones that work here.

Considering a 4G router/dongle and Smarty data sim, any good?

I'm considering using a 4g router and Smarty data sim for regular use as I can't get very fast internet at the moment. Is 4G connectivity for daily use and downloading/streaming good? Are there any connectivity issues that may arise? From what I read 300Mb (which is about 10x my current...

How can I stop this mouse scrolling behaviour?

Changed to an old mouse I dug out, and everything is working fine. It appears it wasn't any Windows settings, but rather it was the mouse itself being tempramental. Downvote for the Logitech M310, the old cheap Tecknet from Amazon works fine and has more features. I appreciate the...

How can I stop this mouse scrolling behaviour?

It's a usb plug plugged into the front of my mini pc less than a foot away, it shares the dongle with my Logitech keyboard, actually they both came as a package, could there be a conflict? It's using the Logi inifying program. Made a wee clip to try and demonstrate, little scroll wheel flicks...

How can I stop this mouse scrolling behaviour?

It still 'overscrolls' but only less so. And I noticed it seems to happen more in one tab than another, seemingly randomly. I tried unchecking 'Scroll inactive windows when hovering over them' but it changes nothing. It must just be this mouse is buggy on my system, it's up to date on its...

How can I stop this mouse scrolling behaviour?

This is what I was encountering when searching, the mouse is in perfect working order. It may be the autoscroll @xashzx but it never did this before, only when plugging this mouse in, been over all mouse settings in the settings panel and the logitech console. The web page still keeps going...

How can I stop this mouse scrolling behaviour?

At the risk of looking like a dunce... I plugged in a new mouse yesterday, the thing is when I scroll down a page and let go, the page continues scrolling for a wee bit before gently coming to a rest. What/where can I stop this behaviour? Google and DDG and Bing are all useless, all I get are...

Is there a tool to convert old vbs programs to run on latest version?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to pass that onto him, or easier just give him the thread link. I'm not sure how familiar he is with C#.

Is there a tool to convert old vbs programs to run on latest version?

Asking on behalf of a friend here. He used Visual Basic about 15 / 20 years ago to write some small programs. Now current versions of the software use different technologies including .Net, and they will not work with the programs he wrote all those years ago. Is there a tool to convert the old...

    Crohns / ulcerative colitis sufferers

I've had prednisolone with every flare, approx once a year or so. However last time I had prednisolone, I got a side effect I've never had before, which was shaking/trembling. I found out it's a rarer side-effect, and wore off after I'd finished the course. Other than that, bloating/increased...
