There is a small amount in the loop, at the top of the res, and i think that means that the it circulates through the loop when horizontally mounted. If so, then surely that is a design flaw?

I am using them for 3 x EK rads (560, 480 & 280) and 4 case fans (1 x 120 & 3 x 140) - as you said, same positioning as my Vardar's (which I have held on to for future builds). I have loads of rad though, so there could well be a difference with one rad a fewer fans maybe. I guess the whole...

Agreed, and the Vardar's are GREAT fans. My point was only that in my case there has been no difference in temps, or noise for that matter, at the same RPM. I have the added benefit of a nice blue glow though. :)

I replaced my 16 Vardars with a mix of ML140's and ML120's (EK RADS) and have seen no difference in temps at all. Oh, and I am running them all at very low speed. Plus they look sweet! :) Cheers Ras
