I just gave HP UK a call to find out if the G2 without controllers would ever be restocked and was told that this package was withdrawn with no future plans to bring it back.
Looks like I'll have no option but to purchase the full kit and be stuck with controllers I'll never take out of the box :(
I'm looking to pick up a G2, minus the controllers and have been monitoring the HP UK page, waiting for stock to appear.
As of today that page no longer exists. I'm wondering if they will only offer the full kit with controllers from now on but haven't read anything to back that theory up...
This isn't exactly strong evidence but the way I gauge whether these 1.2.0.2 releases have fixed usb issues is to track what HP Reverb G2 owners have to say. Sadly, the majority of them report that the fix has been unsuccessful, even with non-beta releases :(
Just to add to what @J10 already mentioned, once recieved, you can see the label that shows the M8FB1/M16FE1 designation without opening the box seal which will make things easier should you decide that you need to return anything.
I was wondering the same thing. It's been beta for over a month now which is unusual, going by recent timelines. I'm probably wishing for too much but I'm hoping this time has allowed them to diagnose some of the X570 usb issues.
I've finally managed to finish my 5950X build and get windows installed. I've done nothing other than enabling XMP and am just sitting idle on the desktop.
Would any of you kind gents would run an eye over my initial HWINFO64 figures and let me know if there is anything that might need...
I've finally managed to get my 5950X and have fitted the NHD-15S to it. I've only gotten only as far as sitting in the BIOS but the temperature is hovering around 48C.
That seems very hot to me and I'm not sure if I need to be getting worried about a bad mount
I've just fitted the 5M vesa certified cable from KabelDirekt and although it's early days, so far, so good. No flickering or any other problems that I can notice :)
I'm still using a 1080 so can only test out the 120hz option. Upgrading to the 3080 soon and will report back if I encounter any...
I would try another usb drive and also make sure you've followed the instructions for correctly formatting and naming the bios file etc.
If the bios led is still flashing after that amount of time, something has gone wrong in the process. Try the above and see if anything changes. Good luck!
I've been doing the same thing with 2 of my SSDs for about 5 years now. I use windows storage spaces to crate the raid just as you have and have never had an issue.
I did consider setting it up via the bios but ultimately never went through with it as there didn't seem to be any tangible...
I don't think MSI cheap out on thermal pads and "melted" is most likely just a poor choice of wording from them that got lost in translation. I highly doubt that they've literally melted.
I've not personally seen this on a motherboard before but I have seen the exact same type of staining from...
You would have hoped that MSI would just send some new thermal pads over to you directly. Might be a good idea to contact them again and see if they can let you know the exact thickness of pad required so you can source some new ones to avoid delays.
When you replace them, pay careful attention...
Now is a good time to shop around for the Pro version. They've been on a special offer over the last week and at the time of this post the offer is still good for another four days :)
